Let's be honest if Hamas weren't behaving like such c***s the israeli Government wouldn't be committing the crimes they're committing Israel is in between a rock and a hard place they're fighting an enemy that hides weapons and shoots rockets at Israel from schools. What does Israel do protect its sovereignty or let Hamas keep attacking them from civilian territory.

I'd rather not have a lecture on the conflict in the region. I was just pointing out that it was not anti-Semitic per se. It may have been fuelled by anti-Semitism, but this is about free speech and saying something other people don't like.

It's like being called racist for criticising the BLM 'movement'. Ridiculous.

Fair point. In the case of Maxine Peak she has shown herself up to be an idiot but she not the first luvvy to do that.

It is more serious for RLB because she is a politician and has to abide by rules within her party so Ms Peak can get away with things that RLB can't.

RLB must have known that as a Corbynite she was on Starmer's hit list well she not only gave him the gun but she helpfully loaded the bullets.

Starmer must be thinking Christmas has come early.

We live in a world filled with mostly black and white moralists who can't cope with the reality of grey and hunger for goodies and baddies so they can virtue signal and live the pretense of being on the 'right side of history'.

The more you learn about history the more you understand how basic and often false the narratives are....With much of it being biased to the norms of when it was written...and by the unavoidably coloured perspective of who wrote it.

One part of me criticizes it for the one way perspectives it dishes out.....Another part of me recognises that perspective is all there really is....as outside of statistics and facts, how you regard an event is coloured by how it affects you or your tribe. That's not a criticism of anyone's stance just a recognition of the battleground.

The Israeli/Palestinian conflict is just another example of the complexity of conflict.

For myself, I can never side with groups like Hamas...it's never going to happen. However, I understand the sense of injustice and why that has disfigured into what they became. If we were born in the west bank we would feel exactly the same. They were forced off the land.

On the Israeli side, I also understand their policy as the only one that gives them a pathway to long term survival.....As long term, the odds are against them.

If I were them I would be doing the same.

You've obviously ignored the number of terrorist organisations active on Twitter and the vast number of racist tweets – Ian Wright recently highlighted this, for example. You happy for kids to see so much p*** on Twitter too?

Conservative commentator Raheem Kassam is currently suspended from Twitter. Does he fit your categories? Or are the social media giants worried about helping Trump win the election again?

Parler is moderated in the US off rules from the Federal Communications Commission and Supreme Court. Not by the opinion of a leftist millennial in San Franciso.

No it's worse than that.
You have to accept fully what the deep left BLM narrative is and what they want to do.
Criticising BLM is different as you can criticise how they conduct themselves but agree with the basic principle on racism.
Do you see the difference?

When mainstream media censors the opinions of the majority, they will seek alternative outlets.

The puppet Left's constant tirade of accusations against anyone who opposes their views will result in an increasingly strong response.
The 'Left' doesn't debate anymore because they know their position is increasingly undefendable. As a consequence, their tactic is now to remove opposition and subject us all to 24 hour diet of propaganda.

Majority?

I think you need to get out more, not everywhere has the political balance to be found on the HOL you know.

The article was imo trying in a backdoor way to blame the Israelis for how the cop dealt with that villain. That's my layman's understanding. Retweeting it was agreeing with it. Why didnt she remove it when she had a get out. Let's pile some more s*** on the Israelis. Anti semitism is there on the left as they cannot bring themselves to condemn a terrorist organisation like Hamas.
That's how I see it.
How do you see the article and what inference was meant in the comparison between mossad and cops in the usa.

Zionism is Israeli nationalism.....without it you wouldn't and couldn't have a state of Israel.

Anti Semitism is a basic rejection or dislike of all Jews.

At least that's my understanding of the two terms.

People with agendas try to...well it appears successfully call all criticism of anything Israeli 'anti semitic'.

Now I'm not anti semitic and I'm not anti zionist.... though I agree that this position is open to criticism and maybe that's a good thing.

However, I am very critical of Jewish non western activism, which always seems to be against whatever I'm for.

That said, I think I understand how someone could be anti zionist but not anti semitic.....Even though some Jewish activist groups pretend that's not possible

If someone is anti zionist, they are saying they are against nationalism and hence that means in most cases they are against right wing or nationalist Jews.

It's easy to see how that could look like basic anti semetism....and hey, perhaps with some it is.

But it's important to be fair and to recognise that many who are anti zionist won't be against Jews who are left wing or perhaps non nationalist Jews. Indeed, we saw that Corbyn had his enthusiastic Jewish supporters within Labour.

So, I think anyone interested in being fair should recognise the nuance.

Though obviously like all 'antis', where the dividing line exists is often down to the viewer, who will have their own biases on it.
