A lot are saying Luka. I don’t disagree, but both the Mc’s as well as Kouyate are as bad as him these days. McArthur was terrible today and just as awful as Luka. One or two defensive midfielders out of those 4 with Reidewald and Meyer alongside would be good to see. But perhaps Reidewald and Meyer aren’t good enough anyway. They certainly aren’t in Hodgson’s mind? Loads of problems throughout that 11 / squad in truth. Right back is another major problem as is the form of Townsend and Zaha. I could go through the whole squad as they are all out of form or not good enough - happy days. Not!

Please stop with the 'our thin squad' nonsense. We have the 9th highest wage bill in the premier league. Our thin recruitment, our thin tactics, our thin ability to change things, our thin ability to introduce young players - all things that I accept. Thin management is the real issue - the game has moved on and Roy should be put out to pasture now before dragging us into trouble next season. If Parish fiddles, he will live to regret it by Christmas - mark my words.

I cannot see us winning another game or scoring another goal this season. Our squad, despite the high wage bill is paper thin as we are carrying a load of very overpaid dead wood. Sakho plays like Bambi on roller skates, Benteke is a striker who however good his hold up play is, cannot put the ball in the net, Meyer is a luxury we cannot afford and Wilf has probably this season put in a shift to get what he wanted - a reduced transfer value.

Roy has a host of knowledge but no plan B we set out not to concede, we go a goal down as o he pops on a few more defenders.
We have a chairman who likes to appear in the media but has forgotten where he put the cheque book.
I expect Zaha to be sold to balance the books and a few of the higher earners Sakho and Tekkers to move on to reduce the wage bill.
We will then look to bring in a few free transfers on huge wages and the whole cycle starts again.

We may well survive a few years longer but to say this season was a success as we are mid table is nonsense. Without another win we will finish a shade above the bottom 3
