Yep. Never chased a ball or jumped for a header. Not for me. Need a striker so ayew can play a little bit wider as he’s not a number 9.

Need (mid 20s) a center forward a number 10 and a full back this coming window, all to go straight in the team. Forward to replace Benteke, ayew to replace Wilf or Townsend in the 11 . A 10 to replace any of the 3 defensive midfielders and a right back for ward.
If Sakho and Dan go a center back aswell,

Think we need 2 quality signings and a youngster for the next couple of windows after aswell.
Obviously this won’t happen and we will re sign Bakary Sako, offer Dann another year and Niasse on loan , 1 minute before the window shuts

This is what I discussed with someone today :

4-1-4-1 : Attacking full-backs to provide width.
4-3-3 : Attacking full-backs to provide width.Narrow front 3 so that the centre-forward and focal point of attack has players closer to him.

Had to curtail our conversation.Perhaps we will discuss other formations later.

I hope the rumours are true to be honest. Might help put the price up. Bottom line is it’s time for him to go. He hasn’t been the same player this season. His head is down, he’s moaning again, and looks like he’d rather be somewhere else. Can’t see us getting 50 million for him unfortunately

What do people honestly think we would take for him. I think £36 million , clearing £30 after the Man Utd percentage , plus taking £500 grand a month of the wages would be decent. Plus we can build a team without him in it, he will be gone in 4 years anyway.

I’m sure people will say that isn’t enough, but if we had paid £36 million at the start of this season for the performances he has put in we would be gutted.

I think that is all he is worth to someone paying out hard cash? However he is worth more to us and more to the point, more to Parish who probably wouldn’t release him for that sort of money. I really have no idea how this is going to go this window.

Towards the end of last season I would have been gutted to see Wilf leave, however, this season, he's chipped in with a handful of assists and a few goals, one against Chelsea that their keeper should have saved, hardly setting the world alight for a play valued at 80m lol

The constant rumours each pre season will he go or will stay or will Parish throw money at him to stay, what's going to happen, Wilf gets 200k a week to contribute nothing, his performances have been nothing short of average this season, if he wants to go, let him, fed up with the not knowing what's going to happen with him but also fed up with seeing him perform like he couldn't give a toss either, cash in, whatever we get for him !

With the stuff we've played who the hell can blame him? I'd feel sorry for him until I remember his salary.

No you’re right. We need him until he retires and the times when he’s so slow or always injured. What after he retires anyway? Keeping a player who used to contribute but doesn’t and won’t anymore is no football or business strategy. It’s just fear of the unknown, if you haven’t got a plan or idea of what you’re going to do, which might be a relevant point regards us lol.

Wilf needs to go whether you support it or not. He no longer wants to be at the club and it shows in the way he's played this season. I've loved watching him play for us over the years and until this season I couldn't imagine life after Wilf, but this season he has been erasing my good memories with frustrating performances that lack heart and we've been left mostly with just the moaning Wilf. He is easily still the most talented player in the squad, but we need to cut the cord now unless we suddenly find the money to drastically improve our squad.

Ferguson, Pochettino, Klopp and others have recognised his talent and if he gets his head straight he can spend the next few years playing at the level he so desperately wants. If he goes to a club like Everton or Newcastle though he'll likely drift off into the pile of could-have-should-have wingers.

In our 1st season back we stayed up comfortably without Wilf. He has been a fantastic player for us but he needs a change and so do we. We have become Zaha FC and not Crystal Palace FC and need to reclaim our identity from being a one man team

I think firstly, I completely agree with your sentiment.

I have the fear of the unknown at the moment, or a life without Zaha (acknowledging first season) but I think there is also the realisation that the 'perfect deal' may not come along such as Barcelona offering £80 million plus Lionel Messi.

He's not been the same this season, and we haven't been able to rely on him as we have previously so it is time for him to go and I think his performances this year have softened the blow for all.

My issue or concern at the moment is the squad needs boosting with but most certainly without Wilf and I have no trust that will happen in any case but it's a far worse situation if he leaves. At least N Ferguson is a start although even that is unfinished Jan business.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!
