I suspect that Osayi-Samuel is the only one of the three we can afford.

I also think Sarr may have more attractive options than us.

We have less resources than most and have to live with that whether we like it or not. Always makes transfer windows likely to be a disappointment.

We did land Eze though which was a minor miracle and we were probably helped by the fact that we were his first choice.

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

Their directors have more to put in.

And we bargain in order to get the few players available who can improve the squad.

Sadly they also improve our competitors who are better resourced.

Like I said we start disadvantaged. Out of the 20 clubs I think only Burnley are comparable?

Our American so-called investors are both billionaires (I think they're about the 10th or 11th wealthiest owners in the PL).

Unfortunately, they seem to follow a practice of investing just enough to keep their various franchises in the big-time whilst raking in the excess profits not needed to achieve that aim. In other words, the money's probably there but it won't be used if we are likely to remain in the PL without their having to spend it. That's how I see it. I may. of course, be wrong.

Cynical but wise and likely to be true

Some reports are saying they cancelled the scheduled medical today & are concentrating their efforts on Bournemouths Josh King according to HITC

If this is true, this just highlights the changing picture in relation to transfer activity.

Transfers can be 'Off', then 'On', then 'Off' again and negotiations can be complex and protracted and of course can ultimately lead to abject disappointment.A great deal of twists and turns!

Indeed, some many twists and turns but some still feel inclined to slag off those who give information

He's not back from international duty until Wednesday, so how can the medical be cancelled?

This is a done deal.
