For me at the reported price and all the clauses that have to be included think we are best out of it. SP will not invest money in such a deal, TBH I don't blame him,

Liverpool can buy back within 3 years for a set price! And you know full well it won’t be over £30m. Shame as I believe he wanted to come to us. Looks like Sheffield Utd must be desperate to agree to this terms.

Have we at any point approached Liverpool about a transfer? If not, a formal or informal bid is irrelevant and SP's original statement on the matter would stand. Semantics aside it's a lot of money to spend on potential especially with a buy back option attached
