The lack of reason is all yours. I have explained what populism does. Of course a popular policy may be wise, or foolish! Following something just because it's popular has to be unwise though.

The job of politicians is to be wise and deliver what is required and not what is popular.

What "most people think" is indeed populism! But it's a poor way to lead a country when what most people think can be foolish. Or led by those who wish us harm and manipulated through the media.

We need to be lead by people who can brush aside such influences and ensure we do what is needed. Then they need to defend that every 5 years. That's when WE decide if it's popular or not.

'The people' are clearly not leading the country and it is a nonsense to say otherwise. The government are playing the political game that is required in 2020.

Your argument bares no relation to reality, as usual.

Watch it, wissy doesnt actually argue. Read his posts. He manipulates you into making a statement.
Then bang, Sort of a slow burn wind up. Must be annoying during a discussion around the dinner table. Bet theres been some plates up the wall in his drum.

He's a troll who lives in a backwater county. Cornwall has a 99% White, low density population and you can't even get a phone signal in half of it. He knows nothing about the realities of modern Britain.

You make my point!

A government playing political games, in this case via a populist strategy, is not doing what our elected representatives are employed to do.

Never had a dinner plate thrown in my home during my 76 years! For any reason.

I offer arguments but what tends to come back are blanket denials or insults. Rarely, if ever, do I see my reasoning analysed and proven wrong.

You need to research the meaning of a "troll"!

I have been around this site far too long for that hat to fit. A reality check. Sure. A counterbalance to outrageous and unrepresentative opinion. True.

I have no idea whether Cornwall is 99% "white" and even less interest. I don't categorise people by such demeaning and irrelevant characteristics.

Of course it's a rural environment, as are many other areas of our country, so has a relatively low population density but it's far from untypical. It's just not a city. What difference does that make? People can, and do travel and they can think everywhere. Sometimes they can even think more clearly when they are far away from the day to day immediacy of an issue.

I'm sorry but I can't vote for Starmer... Far to good looking a man to be leader of the opposition... He strikes me as the sort of guy who would be texting your missus behind your back... At least with Boris I wouldn't have to worry about that type of thing!!

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

None of your posts annoy me! Disappoint, disgust, frustrate. They do all of those but annoy? Never. I am too busy pitying you to be annoyed.

It's not your "colour" that's demeaning is it? It's people thinking it's important that is. Your "colour" is irrelevant to your character. The population everywhere is neither black, brown or white. It is 100% human.

Oh boohoo. Wisbech pities me. How will I cope?

Yes, people are 100% human. Have you noticed that humans don't get on too well? Always finding something to divide themselves with.
Take Black Lives Matter for example. Has there ever been a better example of a divisive organisation?

No idea whether Cornwall is 99% white! You donít categorise You must be about the only one in Cornwall that doesnít. Ffs they have been hanging banners telling us all to f*** off as we are not wanted in Cornwall ( until the tourist industry is completely f***ed). What would they say if hundreds were pitching up on their beaches every day, many of whom are Covid positive. This is a fact so donít try to twist and argue the point.

Can you imagine the strain this would put on Cornish NHS, oh desr
