Guaita

Clyne Kouyate Cahill Mitchell

Eze Riedewald Luka Schlupp

Benteke Zaha

Eze being right footed on the right and Schlupp being left footed on the Left, i know this sounds radical.

Can’t really argue with that. Bet you a tenner it’s nothing like that though!

Benteke......I'll argue with that

Am sure he;'s a wonderful human but he's s***e at scoring goals

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Three of the slowest defenders in the league. Luka taking corners. The slowest central midfield ever assembled. One player that can pass. Two that like to dribble - every time they get the ball. Strikers that cannot score. A decent keeper. Any arguments with that?

Guita
Clyne Cahill Tompkins PVA
Zaha Eze Kouate Schlupp
Benteke Batshuyi

Push all the play through Eze and Zaha, get it wide and cross it. If not then hit Benteke early and let Batshuyi sniff around the bits and pieces.

Worked a treat in 1990. Should be fine against West feckin Brom.

Who would you pick out of who is available? The quips are entertaining if not entirely correct because Kouyate and Mitchell are not exactly slow for defenders and Clyne is no sloth.

Milivojevic is slow but our other choices are not that great. Zaha has scored more than anyone at the club this season and Reidewald /Eze have been relatively bright lights in an uninspiring few matches. Apart from that I agree about Luka taking corners, he’s crap.

They are slow. It's not your choice I have an issue with at all. It's our entire squad. I would make changes to your selection, however. I never actually want to see Luka in the side again, I've had enough. I never want to see Benteke in the side again. There just seems to no point.

Reidewald seems to be able to pass. I'm not sure who's available. Rather Jimmy Mac than Luka - even God forbid, Meyer. Even Kouyate.
Cahill will need match practice if he is fit. We could do with Tomkins back. Clyne was actually OK the last two matches. Mitchell I just don't know. Ward is not exactly brilliant but is a better option than Clyne overall. I presume he's injured.
We can agree on Guaita at least! As I say, more a general rant. You are entirely right to rate easy and drop Townsend. He's another one just not doing anything. If you look at objectively, we just don't seems fit or motivated.
We're not in the Champions League. I presume Ayew will be better this week - he looked like he had eaten the full menu at McDonald's on his last couple of outings. Along with several milkshakes.
As you can probably tell, I'm going through that typical bad stage that all Palace fans have sometimes. Sick of having the life sucked out of me for 90 minutes of soulless, really poor fan recordings, plus crap football.

I’m with you, the choices are limited.

There are two aspects to this thread - the team that people think Roy will play, and the team that people would like him to play.
Observing the way Roy operates, it must be very unlikely that he will throw Tomkins back in after many months out and it’s very unlikely he’ll start Benteke and Batshuayi in together from the start.
From my standpoint I would like Eze and Jairo to start so at least our passing would improve, but again I don’t believe Roy will start with both.

WBA play 451 and it’s possible Roy will try and match them up so as not to be outnumbered in midfield.
This could mean Townsend, Kouyate, Mcarthur, Schlupp and Zaha across the midfield with Ayew as a front man with Zaha having licence to join him.
Quite conservative and potentially negative , but I could see Roy adopting this approach for this game.

I think this is spot on. I also think it's our best chance of nicking three points or getting at least one. We won't try to go gung ho and score two or three unless we have to - and we all know how dire we are at chasing the game. In that respect, I wouldn't totally disagree with Roy. If we make WBA look good, which they are not, then we know it's a tough December for us. A good performance, with no Burnley style mistakes, would be nice. I suspect Roy's main aim will be clean sheet. May not be pretty!

Guaita

Clyne Cahill Tomkins PVA

McCarthy/? Riedeweld

Eze

Wilf. ? Schlupp

I’ve left two question marks in there as I am not really enamoured with any of our players in those positions as it currently stands, would probably go with McCarthy in the middle though and maybe Bent teke up front if wild on the right and Schlupp on the left would produce crosses

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!
