So we can attack and dominate possession when the shackles of Roy's defence first philosophy are removed - what a shock..!!

OK they went to 10 men today but we showed what we can do when the players are allowed to express themselves in an offensive manner.

I don't agree it's all about Zaha, IMO Eze was MOM today and Benteke was excellent - even without his goals he worked really hard and played well.

Downside I thought both McArthur and Milo were very poor, McArthur doesn't seem to be able to run and any pace he had has just gone.

We proved today we have a very talented squad full of excellent attacking players/options - that's what so frustrating when we just sit back, defend and just try and hit teams on the break.

Don't want to put a negative spin on what is a great day and a really good performance, but just an honest appraisal from today.

Meantime - COYP..!!

Baggies slightly the better side before the red card.

PVA and Clyne they are often out of position, if you can get behind them as others will, it is a different thing altogether.

Great to see Palace playing when they are allowed to.

Agreed

Eze wasn’t in the game first half but I agree, superb second half especially when he started to play more centrally.

We were struggling badly and seemed to be really having problems with making space for ourselves in their half in order to move forward, we had other reasonable opportunities to score ourselves still though but yes WBA appeared to be getting themselves well on top and I was thinking our defending was very suspect again, given space in the second due to them being stretched was a surprise though, I don't think they played ten men at all well and allowed us too much time, the result will never be known with 11v11 so no one can say we would off struggled for the whole 90 which is what the stupid red cards do, they ruin it utterly and completely and take away the pleasure of winning or they kill the game as a spectacle. We are not clever at all in defence.

Yes, the skipper didn't have a great game. But when did he last play well? And what's the matter with the man that he commits so many fouls? I'm probably in a minority of one here, but the colour red briefly passed through my mind when he got the yellow, especially after the West Brom red. But he wasn't the only culprit. In the last 10 minutes, when our play became pretty sloppy, we seemed to be giving away free kicks all over the pitch.

By the way, where's Macarthy nowadays? Have I missed something?

Agree about Luka and MacArthur. We really need to replace with a Gallagher type player

Major points for me.
1. Zaha remains the talisman. When he is on fire the whole team rises.
2. Eze is a great signing and talent. He was 10/10.
3. Luka was poor. He deserved to go for that tackle. Another 3 game ban in such quick succession would surely be a record. Totally unprofessional.
4. Benteke was superb and his second goal excellent finishing. Let’s hope this is the start of a revival.
5. When Riedewald came on he seemed scared of the ball and looked very uneasy for some reason.
But a great win. Today it is a definite ‘Roy in’!!

Agreed - don’t understand why Roy has dropped Jario from the starting XI also wonder if we’ll go back in for Flynn Downes in January.

Meantime let’s enjoy today/the moment..!!

Agreed - when did Milo last play well and I also agree was very lucky the ref didn't try and even things up with that challenge - if Pereira's petulant little kick at PVA was a Red, then so was Milo's challenge..!!

We score four goals in 28 minutes - and Graham Misery Souness says afterwards "they were not great goals". He said that just after watching a replay of Wilf's brilliant shot that put us 2-1 up. Wilf's second and Tekker's second were pretty good goals too.
Typical anti-Palace bias from the Sky moaner in chief etc etc etc

It was a great result but against ten men in a very poor side - I cannot see WBA surviving this season - they were really bad.
The negatives today were PVA - Mitchell is better than him - PVA's defending was woeful.
Luka was lucky not to go for that tackle - poor discipline indeed.
McArthur works hard but to me he is a bench player but at the same time who gets the place instead?
Plus's - Benteke, Wilf, Eze for sure plus some other steady displays from others.
However - we did not look good until he second half and without the sending off it would have been a difficult one to call.
So - happy days but with a note of caution.
