I'm as keen as the next person to travel but the media are all focused on UK travel restrictions what about where you are going?

What type of holiday will you have if the bars and restaraunts are closed or you have to wear a mask outside? I like going to museums, art galleries, churches and other POI will they be open?

It's too early to tell maybe by May when the UK will allow us to travel it will be clearer until then I am not booking anything especially as my travel insurance has changed and it is now harder to claim back.

Personally, I totally agree with this viewpoint.

I still find it weird that people seem to think flying abroad for leisure purposes is some sort of annual essential or human right

Not to mention the ignorance that goes with it regarding risk of transmission and potential for quarantine on arrival or return.

Some of the people interviewed raging about having no notice or surprise when they spend their entire holiday in a hotel room, or being fined for travelling etc. etc. I mean seriously? The stupidity is astounding sometimes

That's a shame, hopefully she'll be OK. My mum has had hers - recovering from serious cancer so was a priority. Lives in Worcestershire. My Brother-in-Law who is 69 has had his and my sister has had hers, as she works for the NHS.
If they were here in Ireland, then no chance they would have had them. The news last night was all about how the entire cause of the current lockdown is the UK variant. They love to get the anti-British/Brexit digs in. However, they are not able to crow how we are far worse at dealing with it than the North or the British mainland so simply skirted those issues.
Isn’t it a surprise that with all those EU officials and literally thousands of bureaucrats and employees, that the EU is struggling to organise things. One might wonder whether red tape or corruption or incompetence is to blame, but God forbid we criticise our EU betters and masters.
In the meantime, isn't it a surprise that the French are completely clueless and disorganised. They're usually highly efficient in everything they do.

My mum is 89, lives in France, and has been told there is no idea when she’ll get the first jab. They have no supplies.

Is she an expat? If so would this make a difference? Hope she is keeping well

Doesn’t look like the great unwashed will be pouring through the gates then

Will Remainers cross their arms and not go then? Lol

Is this about Brexit? Just a response to your assertion that they'd let anyone with money in. Looks unlikely

I wish the media would stop giving these moaning people publicity, you would think they were in a Russian gulag. It's a hotel suck it up for 10 days.

When I came back from Poland in September I voluntary shielded for 7 days even though I didn't need to.

They are not being made to do hard labour, don't like it don't come.

No it’s about staunch EU loyal remainers, after you posted this,

‘Greece is in “technical” talks with the UK over allowing Britons carrying a vaccine passport to travel to its tourist hotspots from May despite concerns in Brussels and other EU capitals.‘

How many business people are travelling to and from South America, Africa and Portugal?
