Hoisted by your own petard as they say.

Not at all, just what you'd like to see in your illogical and warped imagination and light years away from any form of reality. China is just doing what it can to increase its influence and trade worldwide, just like the US and the EU. The UK isn't even in in the same league let alone a few divisions lower. Orban is an idiot and China are playing him like primary school kid, easy to bribe and very cheap to do so.

Sorry to see your 'petard' fizzle out like a damp squib.......yet again.

The contrary part of me is tempted to start arguing for rejoining the EU just for the challenge of it because those who are supposedly Brussels fan-boys are so utterly, utterly s*** at making a case for it.

Its just tedious to hear or read them. Nothing original to offer beyond a mind numbing churlishness that seems to stem from their inability to accept that Brexit happened and no amount of pathetic attempts at 'told you so' is going to shift anybody.

Tell us why the EU is the future. Why we should be trying to ensure that we remain as closely aligned with it as possible, why our future has to be about putting us on course to rejoin one day and why that should be the sooner than better? Why we should be signing up for the euro, why the Scheglen agreement is crucial to the EU's future. And so on and on.

But whatever you choose to do, at least up your game. Its getting beyond tedious now.

The Brexit campaign consisted wholly of 2 sentences: Bring back control and Protect fear; and they have never sought to expand on it.

They insulted the educated but assessed the limitations of their support with depressing accuracy.

See. I rest my case. Remain lost because it was a position supported by f***ing idiots who, even with all the might of the entire establishment on their side, could not persuade a bunch of us thicko leavers. You lost because you are a lot dumber than you think you are. You f***ed up big time because you just assumed your collective IQ's, expressed through wit and satire, would naturally win the day. And it did not. Moronic does not even come into it.

And don't even get me started on the retards who thought a second referendum was a good idea. The most stupid of the lot.

And Dan. When Nigel Farage started out campaigning for UKIP, leaving the EU was a tiny minority position. Zero chance of it happening in the short to mid term. But he won. Because he believed in his cause.

Do any of you genuinely have faith in the EU? Do you genuinely believe it offers any solutions whatsoever?

Not massively, but more faith in them then the current lot in charge uncontrolled here. If we have a decent government, Brexit could work in our favour in a lot of ways. We currently very much so not have a decent government.

Come on. Where is the vision? Of a single European entity that extends from the west coast of Ireland all the way to the Russian borders? Maybe one day even bring Russia into the fold? Ditto with places like Ukraine. From the artic circle down to the beaches of Sciily. Imagine it. Europe has created almost every work of great art, literature, music and film the world has ever known. A wonderous continent.

And if it were one, then could produce everything it ever needed. The most fertile and well-managed farmland in the world. Technological innovations abound. Manufacturing expertise and capacity that would be the envy of the world.

Europe could, if it put its collective mind to it, dwarf both the US and China in terms of being the global super-power.

Sell us the dream. Not just some dreary bleating that thinks incompetents such as that dreadful VDL woman and the likes of Lord Adonis are the ones we should put our faith in.

Am pleased to see the improvement in your general level of composition.

But, and there's always a but, reality is a concept, a light year is an objective measure of distance, therefore one cannot be light years away from a reality.

I would be impressed with anybody who could get a damp squib to any form of combustion, never mind a fizzle.

Please keep posting, every site needs a contrarian.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

At least you weren't insulted then, which is nice.

Southernmost point of Europe is in Spain, just saying

If Australia is in Eurovision does that change the boundaries?

Well brexit clearly isn't the problem predicted.
The UK economy grew by 4.8 % between April and June.
Now even with covid as well it is only 4.4% smaller than 2 years ago. Who said hmg didn't have a scooby and we were doomed to a third world existence. Pie is being consumed as I write this I reckon
