It was quite a 'Thwack' by Riedewald but had it not been for the deflection off Clark I believe Darlow would have saved the shot.

In terms of the Cahill goal, he made a run from the back post but his marker got blocked by Batshuayi, more by accident than design so Cahill had a free header. That was the only positive contribution by Batshuayi the whole game,he was truly abysmal.

Seems your disappointed with a win, as your usual prediction of a relegation struggle looks further and further away every game.

So perhaps Luka does play better with Jairo then

My son is training to do analytical graphs for teams, he has done this for Jairo . Lines are his passes, black circles his tackles and clear circles his interceptions. The star is, of course, his goal.

Just proves my point that aul Jairo doesn’t really do much during a game. 😉

Fair play to your son. Exciting for him to be getting involved in something he loves. Sounds very interesting,

Apparently his goal has been timed as the most powerful from open play in PL league this season 71.2 mph

The technique of the strike was truly something special.

It really is rather amiss to suggest that I am disappointed when our team win.If you saw my elation after a victory and abject despair after a defeat you would not be making such statements.
My dear wife will readily admit that I am often puce with anger during a game and after a defeat.

Apropos my predictions I am not too proud to admit that I have been wrong many a time and exceedingly pleased that my prognostications have been awry.

I’ve always loved Jairo... top Footballer... you don’t play for Ajax unless you’ve got ability... thought he did brilliantly when he filled in at Left Back... couldn’t understand why he was left out after that but he’s proved how good he is....

Thank you, yes he is enjoying it, something to do having lost his job. He is also doing scouting courses. No paid jobs yet but he has been taken on by an Icelandic team and has scouted a few for them and also now a non-league team. He does not mind not getting paid as he enjoys it. Hopefully starting level 2 FA course soon.
He has done many of these type of graphs and was hoping to market them but it seems clubs and players will not allow it.

For me it's one of the few but most satisfying moments you can have when you're watching football from home that you can shout "Hit it" as a ball comes out to the edge of the box and one of your players duly obliges. Great shot, great goal. Well don Jairo.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

We can sympathise but we will bask in the glory of our lofty league position for now, of course. Can't see Bruce lasting. Rafa was decent, I thought. Of course, it's all Ashley's fault. A Saudi Prince or two will sort you out.

And so you should.

If we get stuck in the bottom 3 for a couple of weeks, Bruce will get the boot. And obviously if we get some new owners they'll be getting shot of Bruce before they even work out how the coffee machine works.

Seen a lot of 'experts' compare Bruce and Benitez. They're ignoring that Benitez was on an upward trajectory, whereas this s*** it pretty much as good as it'll get under Bruce. Had Ashley allowed RB to buy who he wanted (within reason) we'd be comfortably safe right now, we wouldn't have wasted £40m on a player who isn't the right fit and we likely would have navigated this bizarre season with the minimum of fuss.

I'm torn on the Saudi bid. I want change at the top, but there's no getting away from the horrific acts committed by the Saudi regime. We'd be a sportswashing vehicle for Bond villains, instead of the Dickensian villain we've got now.

Just wanted to say how nice its been having The Fish on here, exchanging views between supporters in a dignified way - with common interests - its something that I for one would like to see more of.

yes it was and their keeper I very much doubt would of been able to stop it rebounding of him and into the net with his attempted save had the player in front of him not been in the way ..aimed at Willo that.
