In many ways the traditional financial system finally died in 2008 and all that's happened has been life support and a denial of reality since then.

However, this pandemic, in my view, has hastened the termination of the life support and we are entering a new system and relationship between state and individual.

Those who spent a long term calling this reset a conspiracy theory in reality they just have their heads in the sand. They want to get lost in the weeds over motives and terminology but really all that matters is what actually happens.

The value of our currencies has been inflated away over decades and they will move to a completely controlled digital system where the state will give themselves far more power over your financial independence. Technology is allowing for far more control over people's lives and that's going to be slowly inched towards and enforced with the normie being the frog in the heated water.

Anyone else have thoughts over how things will change.

I had enough trouble trying to reset the clock on my oven when the clocks went forward last Sunday.

Agreed, life has been getting more complicated over the past five years for sure, you try applying for a job, you get passed around cloud to some other link, add your photo it don"t work, need a digital one, get your dbs certificate, pay £70, pass it, then get told by a gov agency you need to do it again, and pay again, as one thing didnt match, although dbs certified you, grrrrrrrrrrrr

Do you mean responsibility for ones own existence instead of relying on the state to look after you.
Basically the reset is going to affect the lazy feckless I want I deserve.

I think the state is looking to edge towards essentially controlling as much of your life as possible not the other way around.

So it isn't about self reliance....actually self reliance is what I'd advise for everyone personally. Not that it's that possible for most.

Economic and social surveillance and control....The western form of the Chinese credit system slowly inched in.

If c19 hadn't happened I would think that but finance is the key.

It might have sped things up but I agree, this direction is far more influenced by economics and opportunities provided by new technologies.

And in turn you will have no choice but to be dependent on the state as there will only be jobs for the well educated and well off.

Yep and everyone has to be a good little boy and girl or you don't get your annual holiday or whatever.

And god forbid you oppose the system.

Nah I don't think that's true. The issues are that 'jobs' have to be valued in any knowledge or ability level. Its all about being non reliant on the state during our working age lives. Be proud to have a job and thats important for self respect and should not be devalued to how clever or well off you are. Sadly kids being forced to school till 18 hasn't helped as some and I would say a big some are not academic at all and that's blatantly obvious by exam results from 6th form. They dont care and just want to work and earn a shilling.
Who are hmg to say otherwise and thats all colours and im virtually a brum
Just thinking has gang culture been exacerbated since this rule was brought in. Interesting to look at the figures.

I think itís going to happen with automation. More and more people will be made effectively useless and worthless in what theyíre worth to society. I donít see a great reset or an immediate one, but I can see a gradual squeezing of wealth and opportunities to make wealth or just a decent life, while the elites and huge businesses dominate. The only way to beat that is to go more and more local. And the way for big businesses to beat that is to financially damage those demanding local products and services. So what will they do with government assistance? Amazon etc avoiding almost any tax is quite unbelievable.

Unfortunately too many see these changes positively, while forgetting, or ignoring, people who tell them it wonít be what they thought, or it was intended to be so many years and generations in the future, when their families suffer, because thatís what will happen. Removing incentives is doomed. Thereís too many stupid people who will accept this or want it so I have no hope for any objections to it.

America might be even more tempting to escape the way this country and Europe could be going than I thought. A country that can sustain itself, has all climates the world has to offer, and might just have enough rejection to this evaporation of freedom, choice, opportunity and incentive.
