This always makes me smile - so what exactly is your Brothers relationship with a club Director - to provide him with such “privy information”, beyond that he’s told you and now you’ve gone and plastered it all over social media - where do you think the ups and downs in the betting markets come from?

Look no-one knows probably outside Parish, Freedman, Harris and Blitzer - since Parish has been in charge at Palace he has always played his cards very close to his chest.

Personally think it will be Dyche - but not because I know the kit cleaners cousins, best friend who’s mate cleans the house next door and is a friend of the bloke opposite - who told me..!!

One thing I do agree with is that I think all will be revealed this week..!!

COYP

I Hope your right Plaistow. Dyche for me all day long.

Spiderman Horsham,
Let Cooper get PL experience with a newly promoted club rather than with a club that has been up 9 years now and should (and it really doesn't feel like it !) be consolidating at this level.

HLTCO seems to be depicting this as a 2 horse race between Dyche & Cooper.

If this is indeed the case, you have to question why Ismael isn't in the running. His achievements at LASK were excellent & what he's done at Barnsley, on an almost non-existent budget & with the youngest aged squad in the Championship can't be understated.

Whilst he'd undoubtedly need to be make additions in the transfer market to progress us to a high-press style of football, it's a style of play that naturally suits young players & not one you need to seriously break the bank for.

Nuno may be the most appealing candidate on paper but even if we can get him to Selhurst, there are politics that will be associated with him that are a recipe for disaster.

Palace should go for Ismael. He could be excellent provided he is given time.

Yes, I would put money on us overlooking Ismael only to then see him replacing Dyche at Burnley, Hassenhüttl at Southampton, Bruce at Newcastle or Xisco at Watford and watch as he then performs absolute miracles with them.

Unless Parish has hoodwinked everyone and it’s not a candidate we’re currently linked with - I’m pretty sure it’s going to be Cooper at this stage.

A total shame, really. Going into the Championship market provided us with a real opportunity in Ismaël, who has been excellent, and almost certainly would’ve had some sort of release clause in his contract.

Don’t get me wrong, Cooper could turn out to be fantastic, but it’s still so, so early in his career - to the point he even said at the end of last season(?) that he "doesn’t consider himself a manager yet". And despite the fact Swansea’s season has to be regarded a success, they really didn’t look great at times at all.

We're the Arthur over ere!

Just thinking if we got a manager who appeared to do a great job, then moved to a championship club in mid table and went on an astonishing level of results culminating in ending up in the playoffs.

Iain Dowie anyone? Sometimes it just clicks and can never be replicated.

Ultimately, Steve and Dougie aren't mugs. They will have started this process months ago. It's not like they only found out about Roy when we did. They will have gone over everyone with a fine tooth comb, considered
far and wide, sought outside counsel and they'll land on a decision they think is right.

Given all of this, I'm happy to trust their decision. I'd certainly be more comfortable with them making the decision than some of us on here. In them we trust.

Parish is obviously attracted to the fact Cooper has achieved two play offs whilst making a profit of around £60 million. He has completely rebuilt the squad after relegation and fallen short to a very good Brentford side on both occasions.

If he was to take over we would stand a good chance of picking up some of their talent - namely Guehi on loan from Chelsea and Matt Grimes. Both of whom look ready to step up.

He wouldn’t be my 1st choice, however, I would take him over Dyche without question.

In his 2 seasons in charge at Swansea, the club have brought in nearly £50 mill more than they have spent on transfers.
In his first season, Swansea signed 9 players (7 on Loan) and last season 16 players (8 on Loan).

Definitely feels like it’s a two horse race between Dyche and Cooper now and I would be quite happy with either . Dyche is the safe option but the prospect of having Cooper as our new manager is more exciting.

What I will state about Cooper is that he has only been a club manager for TWO seasons and not in the top-flight.

Our new manager will inherit a situation whereby a number of players are out of contract and many of course might seek employment elsewhere or be shown the door. There could be a significant turnover of players and the new manager will have to handle these pressures and still be expected to keep the club in the PL.

A herculean challenge awaits the new person in charge. Some might conclude it is a hopeless task,a fool's errand.
