Finished watching all episodes yesterday. Watching again later with the better half. (Can’t wait) lol I guess the car park convo that took place wasn’t as accurate as it had been quoted at the time on here.😂 It was a great time in history and as was stated there was a period when If we went behind I just knew we would score and that air of confidence was so reassuring! A great bunch of players and it was both inspirational and warming’ of the heart watching the episodes and reliving that chapter of our history.

What a season. I really enjoyed it, particularly the Dougie exit which has opened my eyes to a few things (Lennie Lawrence's alleged influence especially). The big Holloway speech in Speroni's was also great to see. I imagine people on here were there. Great characters and I hope the club never loses its spirit. To be honest it doesn't look like it has even with personnel changes. Players are a good bunch. Not sure what the neutral will make of it. So much is overhyped obviously and edited for additional enjoyment but it isn't like those absurd All or Nothing series. You're getting normal interviews and relatable content.
I ain't got nuthin' funny to say. Sorry. |

We obviously look at this through rose coloured specs but whilst I am only part way through episode 3 the one thing that stands out is that group of players and thei camaraderie and team spirit.

Perhaps the documentary is clouding my judgement , but I think this is my favourite Palace team in my time supporting Palace - and I go back to Bert Head’s day.

When you see one season documented like that, it just shows how long a season is, how we can be so crap, then so good, then even crapper and then not that great at the end, but just so determined to get the job done was unbelievable really.

I'm three episodes in and am slightly ashamed to admit that I felt a bit nostalgically emotional in the first one when reliving us nearly go bust. It was a tremendous group of players and probably my favourite squad we've ever had, even if not the most talented. Was very interested to see what Dougie would say for himself but, unfortunately, it didn't make me warm up to him any more. Just can't forgive him for going to Bolton, if we were mid-table that would have been one thing but we weren't and it could have (and nearly did) torpedoed our entire season. A shame as he used to be my favourite player, an accolade instead held now and forever by Jules.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |
