It is a team game, and unfortunately Wilf is not a team player. He seems to have lost his pace and cannot go past defenders like he used to. He needs to improve his attitude significantly. No big team is going to take him based on these 3 factors alone.

Best he can hope for is Everton, certainly not Champions League. Hope that works out better than it did for Yannick. Never featured significantly in any game after he left Palace.

I think there's been some ridiculous comments on this thread. Wilf is undoubtedly the best player we've had in a long time and perhaps ever. Yes it's true he has looked out of sorts lately but as has been suggested, I imagine he is carrying a niggling injury, which is holding him back because we've seem some stunning performances earlier this season. So to suggest that he us past it, is nonsense. I hope Wilf stays and is inspired to perform at his best alongside Eze and others, under new management next season.

No chance. He’s done.

his strength is his trickery. Not pace.

Wilf is still worthy of many goals and assists.

Unlikely to be crocked at 29.

Eze Peasy at Anfield....

Nobody is going to pay him £130k per week for what he offers, unless we give him away for nothing. Unfortunately you have to sell players when they’re at their peak to run the business side of squad management effectively. Unfortunately we didn’t get those bids at any time. I remember when people were concerned Milivojevic was attracting interest from Everton. Months later he completely lost his form and started to become a liability.

I too would love to see Wilf playing at full strength and happy. But let's remember that he is recovering from a groin injury, which will severely limit one's ability to go full speed. As Roy himself observed on Friday, even if you're fully recovered from it, a groin injury is the type that plays on your mind, preventing you from running full-out for fear of injuring yourself again.

I thought he was Palace's worst player today, and with Ward on the pitch, that's saying something. His transfer value falls with each game he plays. His reaction to Eze's goal was revealing: no particular celebration; just incomprehension as to why Eze didn't square the ball to him. It's clear also that he has no particular chemistry with Benteke. Wilf just looks brassed off all the time these days.

I picked up not his too, he's realized it's not all about him.... people defend him, that's fine... people criticize him, that's fine.....

he's not performing right now... value for money, terrible... shop window, terrible..

I’d take 30 million for him now or Williock and 10 million from arsenal

Ten goals this season suggests otherwise.

Yeah, I suppose. But big difference between start of season and now.

another problem is if Benteke, Sakho, Batshuayi, and Clyne leave, as i expect they will that leaves a gap of 53k more than the second salary, Guaita, that could be a squad problem if his form doesn't improve.
Willock and Maitland-Niles on 55k between them i think they would make a great midfield partnership, strait swop with Wilf i think would be the way forward.

Eight of which were scored before the New Year. He is either injured, disinterested or has lost something. I noticed that on the Beeb's player ratings yesterday he was bottom of the 10 outfield players who started the game. Unfortunately, I have to agree with that rating as IMO he was the least effective of our players on the pitch, bearing in mind the different roles players have in the team.
