Perhaps your understanding of the difference between the population size of something and the rate of something can also be highlighted here.

Large cities typically have greater areas of poverty as well as a bigger black market for drugs. Higher crime rates in larger cities is not a Glasgow only phenomenon.

Trying to read his posts sometimes is like trying to wade through treacle. For someone who is such a ‘patriot’ the first thing he should be able to do is use the language properly.

If you are going to criticise someone else for grammar then learn how to use a comma.

The size of a city does not correlate to crime rate, which was the poorly written conclusion of your previous post.

You’re the king of putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5 so fair play. Also enjoyable you trying to call someone else’s poorly written when your posts are the waffling nonsense of a stoned GCSE student who has read far too much right wing propaganda.

The largest cities in any country typically have the higher crime rates. Of course population size isn’t a cause. The causes are manifold but larger cities tend to have the ingredients which lead to higher crime rates.

Thank you Glasgow, we are not all xenophobic.

The people who run the country were voted in - it's called democracy. The people being thrown out of the country were not wanted and breaking the country's laws. Two things you seem unwilling to accept. But this little media stunt has taken you in, hook, line and sinker. You are in the immigrant, different coloured skin, must be good camp. How absolutely naive is that? Anybody who doesn't want loads of illegal immigration is a xenophobe? - you sum up complete madness. A demonstration of today's ridiculous ideologies.

You wrote, 'And it’s Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland. Of course it will have the highest crime rates, that’s not a surprise.' Here, you directly link the size of a city to crime rate.

Here is a link to where the highest crime rates are in the US by violent crime and property crime and you will notice how incorrect your conclusion was.

[Link]

As for the causes of crime, that is a related but different topic. I will say though that I'd agree with some aspects of what you said.

I accept that, in reality, you understand that size does not directly relate to rate. That noted, it was still what your poorly written post stated.

Have you considered that there may be a valid reason for his spelling “ issues”? Not everyone has had the benefit of a good education and some people have problems in learning ( not saying this applies to Danny) so to criticise someone for this on a forum is bad form or is it that you just don’t like his views so this is an easy way of getting in a cheap shot?

If they (Politicians) have broken the law they should be held to account by a court not by a mob making it's own judgement.

How many of those idiots who joined in with a protestor and stopped the deportation on a plane knew they were supporting a convicted child rapist?

We don't know why these men were arrested so we should leave it to the judicial system. this was mob rule.

If the police came to arrest a couple of white supremacists and their mates prevented it how many on the left would be happy about that.

Don't like the law change it.

Everyone makes mistakes in English. In my first few years on the forum I was also guilty of pointing out easy errors of English as a cheap dig. It's a bit immature and narcissistic.

Don't get me wrong, I do think it's important to try and write with at least some level of care and personally I don't mind being corrected on English if it's constructive. So you have to know the person really.

So it's more, why it's being done and that's why I've decided to nitpick a nitpicker.

In 1989 I went to Australia, I loved it. Work paid better than UK. It was so good I applied for an extension on my visa, which was rejected but I decided to ignore that minor detail and stayed any way. 16 months after I should have left I got rear ended by a taxi, police arrived, took details and I was arrested for being illegal. 2 days in lock up,£1000 for the flight and barred from Oz for 3 years.

I knew I was an illegal immigrant, I knew the consequences if I was caught. I have paid the piper.

If we, the citizens of the UK, turned up at a country's border, attempting to gain entry without a visa, we will be refused entry. If we managed to sneak in but get caught later we would be removed, which I can testify to.

Strangely alot of people don't think that immigration laws elsewhere in the world should apply here. Why?

I admit that it was a straw that broke the camel’s back situation. It is frustrating though that all he posts about is anti-Muslim/black crap, often ill informed, and steeping in anger/fear. It’s like trying to reason with an angry wasp.

I do apologise however, it is poor form.

You're probably having some sleepless nights - we should forgive you. Parenting isn't so easy. Probably the hardest job in the world. Worse when they grow up!
