Roy kept us in the league... he was respectful throughout, credit has to be given for that alone. Thanks Roy, forever grateful. I agree totally ... time to go but we're still PL and Roy to thank A great chapter in palace life

Just watched his final pre-match press conference. I sincerely do hope that it's him stepping down & not jumping before he was pushed. He really has been a class act & will be missed dearly. Legend.
We're the Arthur over ere! |

Interesting that Roy has said he tries to talk to every player very day that he feels this is important to a happy squad. Well he must have done something right because the Palace squad has been pretty settled under his leadership. Maybe this is a lesson that Lampard could learn.

Judging by all the tweets from the players there were so many glowing comments and praise that it was no surprise that Hodgson always had the dressing room Originally posted by Badger11

He went because he felt as a tennis star he could effect change by going to the Black townships and using his influence. While I disagreed with this action, he was a highly principled person who both commanded and deserved the utmost respect. Edited by kenbarr (22 May 2021 8.59pm)

And thus the Hodgson era ends. Many fans will now get what they wanted. One thing I won’t miss is the bizarre line ups and lack of timely substitutions. The mans record at the club speaks for itself but boy was it hard to watch most of the time.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

Big Sam? Dyche? a plea to Hodgson to come back? Whoever it is will we see virtually all of the players whose contracts are expiring being re-signed? and rolled out next season for one last hurrah to try and keep us up? OR Will we go for a more so-called progressive manager and basically put our trust in having half a dozen youngsters from the Academy in the first team squad along with a couple of new young signings and a couple of experienced loanees?

My hunch is your option B.As has been stated often, many more experienced managers might be put off by the need for a significant re-build -as per Lampard if reports are to be believed.

Palace current plight is critical - would be new manager candidates Howe and Lampard are looking for better opportunities elsewhere
