I haven’t missed him one bit and not having his tantrums, sulks and theatrics has been a welcome relief.

Agreed. He is in the latter half of his career now, so needs to underline his legacy. He is earning great money, the fans have loved him up to now, but I think he has reached a junction in the road. Needs to knuckle down and show everyne what he can do, work hard to counter the impact of aging. Other option, the same old nonsense we saw at Spurs on Boxing Day and we will all be pleased to see the back of him. Time to grow up methinks.

Interesting that he was only a bit-part player in Ivory Coast's AFCON campaign (now ended). You'd think that a regular starter in a team competing in "the best league in the world" would be a shoe-in for a minor international side. Presumably therefore his adopted nation doesn't think he's as good as he does.

Well he has to be a decent option, either on the pitch, or on the bench. Good to have him back. It is changed days and we don’t rely on him as we did not so long ago, but he still carries a threat. So come on Wilf, show us what you got, and maybe we still make the top ten.

Happy to have him back. I feel like we needed some time apart...hopefully he now comes back reinvigorated and ready to contribute instead of whinge.

It wasn’t long ago that people were saying that Wilf should be playing in the champions league for Barcelona/Real Madrid. Also that It was a big miss for England that we never capped him in a proper game.

Nothing changes, he got booked for mouthing off, usual thing he got in a tangle with an Egyptian player, not much in it, but you know wilf, his eyes started to bulge out of his head and he wouldn’t let it drop…..Tucked his penalty away well though under pressure

Love to swap him for Richarlison and then he can have his day in the sun for a big team like Everton!

He will start against Hartlepool I suspect and hopefully get a good run out with a couple of goals to boot!

Agreed…..with a big game against Norwich only 4 days after Hartlepool, then 3 days later Brentford, it’s important we ensure we balance the team. If we can take points against the teams below us…then we are crawling towards safety far earlier than usual. Zaha’s contributed will be important-and he has a point to prove…with his place not guaranteed.
