Well, have to say, it's working !

Not All Day

That is the point i am making, we rarely sell only buy, i don't think Wilf, Luka or Benteke will not in my opinin be in the starting 11 at the beginning of next season, we are not going to be relegated, and to me it makes no sense letting players getting big salary's and we are just watching them walk away for free again, like Townsend, PVA etc

Since 2017/18 season our only incoming money due to transfer's is 45m for AWB and 10m for Sorloth, Pathetic Business sense, and we will probably do it all again next year, terrible

I think you are being unfair Lanzo.

For the last 4 years the club has been paying down large debts incurred by buying players to keep us in the PL. We, basically needed those players to survive. AWB was a godsend and we probably couldn't have believed our luck that Man U were prepared to pay so much for him when he'd only played one season. That near £50m enabled us to pay down much of that debt. The Sorloth money was unexpected. Let's face it most of us fans were expecting him to stay in Turkey and we would take the hit on the chin.

Until this season, our squad hasn't been strong enough to even consider selling older established players. Furthermore, with some 7 player contracts and 2 loans ending in the summer the club may need to keep the 3 players you mention.

Finally, as for Zaha, it will be interesting to see if any offers come in for him during this window?

Its not the time to wait for offers its touting the players around and replacing with players such as olise and Hughes

Wilf needs to be spoken to now, a suggested 3 year deal at 50% of his salary, obviously he cant be forced to take it, but if he refuses its out the door for me in this window, swap or low fee 10/15m

We have a minus 72m on incoming and outgoing transfer's since 2017/18 only Arsenal and Man Utd have a worse record, and for a club our size that is a disgrace

I think it is necessary to look at the bigger picture. We only just survived in 2010, and yet here we are mid-table in the PL. Sure, we've overpaid on a few mercenary donkeys along the way, but the idea was to stick around long enough for the academy to get up and running. Kudos to Parish for the plan, in fact it is the only sensible plan for a club our size. Kudos too to Roy Hodgson for devising a tactic that kept us around long enough so we can start to see the benefit. Roy's football was horrid, but now we can look to the future. I think a lot has been achieved in 12 years.

Yes, i agree with a lot of what you say but it is criminal to keep letting players that can be sold go for nothing, if it wasn't for John Textor we would be relegated beyond doubt
