He's seemingly perpetually either wanting to leave or others are eager to push him out. On repeat.

Eduoard and Ayew seem better suited playing out wide. I think Trekkers will go in the summer. Mateta needs time to mature, which I believe he will.

Ayew is not a wide player, he has a record of an assist every 14 games, not ideal for a winger

Can you name anyone beyond Mitchell, who is on £15k a week, that are worth their wages.
Averagely their wages are about £60k a week, double the average national yearly wage of people in the UK.

it's all relative Painter... he earns way more than the majority and has been for some time, is he good value for that money... but sure, you can compare it to the national wage if you like...

This was once a quality forum....

Unfortunately, Wilf is our best/only finisher. He's definitely lost his pace. When he was at AFCON, I don't think we really missed him.

Most of the time, like today, he runs into dead ends, and gets dispossessed fairly easily. I don't really know what to make of him at this point.

This is a curious statement. Do you not think that at the very least Edouard or Mateta could have worked the keeper and hit the target?

His contribution, other than that wonder goal against Norwich, recently has been awful.

He lacks pace, is slow of thought, gets easily dispossessed and misplaces passes. When an attack breaks down it is usually when Wilf receives the ball.

Why is another matter. Is he injured? Has personal issues? Or has he just lost it? Whatever the reason he needs to be dropped, certainly to the bench, and possibly given a complete break until whatever it is is sorted out.

Today was the final straw for me. We cannot afford to carry him any more and that, I regret to say, is what we are now doing.

Drop him until he learns to pass and beat a man again. Eddy should be playing over him on the left.

Have to agree that Wilf was very poor today, losing the ball far too often. It got to the point I was wishing our players would look for other options than Zaha.

Wilf hangs onto the ball too long. When he was on form this was fine but the last couple of years he is the one that slows the attack down and either loses it or by the time he passes the defence has regrouped.

This is bad judgement on his part, as you get older you lose pace but he is clearly not learning to adapt his game. Yesterday I watched Olise recycle the ball far quicker Zaha he should learn from that although I doubt he will.

You do not have to beat the man every time you can pass the ball quickly around him.

C'mon Wilf get your act together.

There used to be a buzz around the ground and a sense of expectancy when Zaha used to get the ball but alas no more. That 'Crown' is now worn by Olise.

Reminds me of a couple of kids in the school playground. Those were the days of George Best. Pass the ball to them and you knew it wasn't coming back until the kid had tried to dribble past 5 players, lost the ball, and moaned at everyone else....
