It was Burnley's 12th PL game and they had only kept 1 clean sheet and that was against struggling Norwich. They have kept 4 clean sheets in their last 6 games and only conceded 2 goals in those games.

Who is then? Depends how we play. Overall, it’s probably OE.

Would certainly indicate that Burnley believe wholeheartedly that they can play their way out of the relegation struggle - leaving someone else to occupy the final relegation place - Originally posted by Willo

Regarding crosses from set pieces. We seem to have no idea. Man marking looks a bit of a shambles. If they can't do it properly then training them to zonal mark might be the solution. If they don't get it right for the Burnley game...and they've got a lot of height in that team. Time for the defence coach to earn his corn. Agreed that our defending hasn’t been great from set pieces for most of the season. However, last night and the Chelsea match I thought it was pretty good. Last night that goal scored in my opinion was more down to Butland not getting to it and he should have? Most teams struggle from Burnley’s aerial play, especially the central defenders. We, like them will have to take that on this Saturday and hopefully outscore them / limit the dead ball situations?

It was Gallagher’s man who who scored, he tracked him but didn’t get off the ground or even remotely challenge for the header.

We are not as bad as we once were, but still aren't great.

Burnley will be all over us at set pieces as it's common knowledge that we can't defend them, and they've bought that bloke to replace Wood who is about 9 feet tall. I'm no fan of tekkers but for this game he may not be a bad shout as he does defend corners etc very well. Would take a point now.

Burnley know their strengths & our weaknesses, they 'buy' cheap fouls to implement their height advantage & our lack of it.
