Even UEFA are stating that the issue at the dippers turnstiles was caused by fans with fake tickets not getting in. Let me get this right.
People knowingly bought fake tickets expecting them to work. Let’s assume they did work. What are the fans with real tickets meant to do when they get in.
It’s lucky that these fans have lots of respect for each other! If the above scenario had happened it could have been another hillsborough ffs.

I watched the game live on a big super clear screen. The Liverpool end looked like it was terraces. There were so many in there you couldn’t see rows or aisles. All I can say is lucky they didn’t score or there would have been casualties.
I even said to my mates that it looked packed.
But it is NEVER their fault.

For a while they seemed to be becoming human. But they have slipped back into their old ways.

Booing the national anthem was disgraceful.

If they thing they are a country called scouseland then as far as I'm concerned they can do one. Hola Madrid.

No and according to our media it was the fault of 40 Frenchman getting in.
Not 1000s of fake tickets, or no tickets.

Yep the biased reporting is in overdrive. I might be wrong but I cannot think of any other European Club Final that has had these type of problems, only those involving Liverpool.
Perhaps those with genuine tickets should be calling out those that had fake tickets or tried to get in without one.
Yet again no blame on Liverpool, always the victims

I know I am something of a lone voice on this issue, but I don't believe the fault for the problems fans had in Paris were entirely due to the fact they were Liverpool.

Unfortunately, England football supporters have gained a reputation for being disruptive and rowdy so the French police were anticipating trouble and pre-empted it by taking a hard line.

Clearly there were some forged tickets identified, but the turnstiles were also rejecting genuine ones. I blame the French and their inherent dislike of the English. The organisation at the stadium appears to have been abysmal.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I’m sure you have a good point. But not the only one. How come there were clearly so many more people than seats in the Liverpool end. I mean thousands more. Standing in aisles etc. OK, terrible policing that they got in, but if they hadn’t tried it would have been like the Madrid end. Orderly.
So poor stadium management, poor policing, poor EUEFA management and of course many fraudulent Liverpool fans. Oh and of course 40 Frenchman.

On May 6th, Klopp said of the Liverpool fans:

"I really hope they all can make it somehow and create - of course they will - an incredible atmosphere. It's nice... if you don't get a ticket... I think Paris is big enough to go there without a ticket and have a good time. Behave yourself but be in the best possible mood."

That worked out well, Jurgen.

That was so irresponsible. Doesn't he know the pressures on the authorities handling genuine ticket holders without people just turning up? One fan who complained of being mis-treated said they paid £1000 for their ticket in Paris. WTF?!!

This was featured on Jeremy Vine (Radio 2) today. No objectivity whatsoever; he just accepted the line that Liverpool fans were poorly treated by the French and he didn't challenge any of his Liverpool-supporting contributors over potential gaps in their recollection of events (let's say). I would normally turn off when JV comes on, but I did find it quite entertaining listening to the self-righteous Liverpool supporters' sob-stories.

Anyway, on came the rent-a-quote Liverpool Labour MP, described numerous times by Vine as a "Hillsborough survivor". He of course gave a tirade against the French, the French police, French youths and criminals, 'the authorities', UEFA etc, but not a bad word about any Liverpool fan nor any suggestion that any of them might have been in the wrong.

Then the best bit. The MP said that with Liverpool fans being pushed up against some railings, he "feared a repeat of Hillsborough" so he pleaded with the police and stewards to open the gates and let all the Liverpool fans in. No, this wasn't satire or irony!!

Then some Scouse bird who said that she went with her (friend/sister/daughter - I can't remember exactly who) to the point where you could go no further without a ticket, at which point her colleague left her to return to the fan zone, as she didn't have one. No challenge from Vine at that point as to why someone without a ticket would travel to a suburb of Paris then all the way to a stadium that they knew they couldn't get into. Then (to cut a long story short) the woman had her ticket and programme snatched from her....then the felon was caught....then in the confusion someone handed her ticket and programme back to her. She then got to the turnstiles to be told that her ticket actually was fake, so (obviously!) her real one had been switched for a fake one. I didn't expect Vine to start singing "Jackanory, Jackanory", but he didn't challenge her tale whatsoever. Why, for example, did she think a criminal gang would carry out such a charade and not merely snatch her ticket and run away? Why would someone switching her "genuine" ticket for a forged one bother to give her a programme too? Anyway, the punchline is that by becoming hysterical, this woman somehow blagged her way in nevertheless. Again, no retort from Vine - for example challenging her to agree that people with fake tickets WERE getting into the stadium.

It's interesting that they suspend that inherent dislike on other sporting occasions involving the English. Six Nations rugby for example.

I wonder how many other Real Madrid fans drove to the game, and where they parked their cars. After the game, this family went to a bar and then the tube (Metro?); did they forget about their car at that point, I wonder?
