This post has been merged from a topic called 'Conor Gallagher' by becky We have been linked with that Jones fella from Liverpool but I still really believe we can get Gallagher from Chelsea. Chelsea have brought in loads of signings and I think Conor will be further down the line now. West Ham have been linked with him but I still think if we put in a cheeky bid he would want to come to us. He is a great fit at Palace. Him, Olise, Eze, Franca etc would be a formidable force....

The bottom line is he isnt that good, same as Maguire and Ward-Prowse ideal for the Spammers

Hamer from Coventry would’ve been ideal. £15M transfer fee and wages would’ve been on a par with Jimmy or Luka. Probably as good a prospect as Gallagher and for less than a third of the price! Terrific box to box player, mopping up everything in front of the defence and pinging 40 yard balls with ease. Also a wand of a right foot that scores regularly from outside the box. Sheff Utd. have picked up an absolute bargain here, thankfully he can’t play for them tomorrow.

I loved Connor, and will always fondly remember that season. However he is best as a AMC in a counter attacking team. He's shown at Chelsea that he just isn't technically good enough, or disciplined enough to play CM. Which is cool. But we have Eze. So we no longer need him. Would much rather have Curtis Jones if given the choice, he'll be able to slot into the CM spaces if we get any injuries.
