With respect, I have been sending out the distress signals both on HOL and privately for some time and my comment was not influenced by the Arsenal result.

The way people keep posting we need a holding midfielder (Milivojevic) a box to box midfielder (McArthur). So, we do have them, but if they are good enough is another question. Nobody ever seems to post, who these players are that we should be signing, as if there are loads available and we aren't interested in them.

I’d rather Eze contemplate how he could adapt to fit the time rather than an entire team for him however.

I think he could do very well as an attacking midfielder operating the line between midfield and forwards, but needs to work on that, especially physically.

My biggest concern with him is he’s boxed himself off as to what he can and can’t do. In a free reign role without defensive responsibility against nobodies very entertaining but he needs much more than that to really be effective at the highest levels. It’s achievable physically but mentally he may not be able to.
