We got in the way of the Manchester City narrative.

Thus far we have been an Arsenal challenge, then Liverpool's 'opponents' and now Manchester city's 'opponents'. Literally the entire narrative is about them and how inconvenient it is that they're not winning and how amazing they are when they're winning. If we get a point or a win, it's all about the crisis at those clubs, and how they failed. I still haven't heard even a vague explanation of why our third goal was disallowed. Literally not even a foot note in the game's coverage.

I appreciate the Premier League generates billions, and that is largely off the appeal to glory hunting little c***s all over the world, so coverage will always be biased towards the teams the glory-hunting little c***s want to watch. We are the also-rans, the undercard beneficiaries, the heel in the wrestling match .

Cannot wait to get through this run of fixtures so we can play some actual football teams, rather than brand conglomerates.

As soon as Mitchell went off, we lacked something. He was exceptional in the 0:0 last season. The margins are so tight, the concentration so intense, that our bench just couldn't cope with losing both Zaha and Mitchell in a game like this. Richards just wasn't as drilled defensively as Guéhi, Clyne, Ward, Anderson, Mitchell, Guaita, and you can't drop 2% against sides who spunk £60m on reserve players for every position.

f*** City, f*** their rubber lipped centre forward, f*** their boring pretentious tactics, f*** all the 10 year olds in City shirts, f*** anyone in foreign countries who supports a team thousands of miles away. They're all dead inside and have no concept of what supporting a team actually means.

Roll on the next home game, don't know who it's against, don't care who it's against, don't want Willo telling me who it's against. Just want Selhurst rocking and Wilf and Eze tearing it up.

Ignoring the disappointment of the result, 4 points and only -2 goal difference is probably about as good as we could have expected given our first four games. We had no outlet today which shows our squad still needs another pacey forward and you look at the bench and we have two keepers and two youth players with limited experience, which given we don't have many injuries is a big concern. Personally I would also be looking at an experienced central midfielder whether it's attacking or defending.

On today I think we have to accept City are a better team bank-rolled by hundreds of millions in spending and we at least gave it a good fight, especially in the first half. If we had a player like Haaland we win that game as Eze regularly broke only to find he had no-one to pass to. Mitchell struggles when teams cut inside as he is really one footed which against a player like Silva is a nightmare, Ward is not really a centre-back and Edouard doesn't seem to be quick enough or strong enough to play up front on his own. Tactically I think Vieira did all he could and we weren't helped by the referee.

Reality check…at least it was not the same score as Bournemouth suffered today.
Shame …at half time I was thinking…

In the car on the way home…time for some Classic FM!

This was never the game to throw Richards into - there must have been better options - Ward & clyne to full backs & put Hughes into the gap ?

0-2 at HT.

True what they say - it's the hope that hurts you.

Weed won again, Liverpool get nine.

I hate football.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.
