They're making us play and we're not that good on the ball. Our passing and movement isn't good enough. They're hanging back and forcing us to pass through and then counter attacking when we make the inevitable poor pass.

Taking into account the poor quality of the opposition, that is an awful first half by Palace. We are picking up bookings because our tackles are late and half hearted. I hope Pat gives them an absolute rollicking during the break. We need to up the pace and smarten up our passing.

I share this perception.

If we don’t sharpen up or play anything like we did that first half regardless of the result we’ll deserve nothing from this game.
