NHS, education system, public transport etc etc ....all probably much better in the UK. However, Ireland's Welfare State is so generous that half the country stays in bed all day. And thus employers must import all their staff. Our longterm unemployed drive nicer cars than our minimum-wage workers. Ulster is a different World from the South. Financially, economically, culturally, and in terms of their shyte politicians being a different flavour to our Southern shyte politicians. Two cheeks of the same @.rse

Our politicians and media are trying to blacklist it - it actually investigates and publishes the obvious, barely concealed corruption. There's a funny viewpoint on Ireland, firstly from the outside world as a shining example, and then the people within who will literally not protest a thing. They used to say 'at least it's not British' but that is becoming a little tenuous a hundred years later. I have lived in Mickey mouse places all over the world and the clown politicians in Ireland are the biggest gobshytes I've ever met. And by met, I mean met. You'd get fairer and less corrupt outcomes at a traveller camp.

Bombs going off in Dublin and even London.....no thanks. NI is like a primary-school playground. Very difficult for the Principal to referee. And nobody can even agree on who the Principal is. The creation of NI , in 1921, was a fairly good idea. The boundary-commission needs to again re-draw the borders. Newry is absolutely Irish and CarrickFergus is totally British.
