I appreciate your mindset on this matter and I remain cautiously optimistic, however for us to slip through that dastardly relegation trapdoor we would need to collapse akin to 'Humpty Dumpty' and other teams would need to show produce results which would shock all and sundry.

A total of 4 pts from our remaining fixtures would ensure our survival and it is well within our capabilities to reach that 40 point total.

Just keep playing with belief,confidence and enjoyment.

And to think we are only 3 points behind Chelsea now. I looked at their fixtures the other week and they are not great. Even playing Bournemouth is far from easy now.

Yesterday I received a text message from a Chelsea supporter stating that Palace had won and are only 3 points 3 points adrift of Chelsea !!!!

He was also critical of the appointment of Frank Lampard and forwarded a graphic of the comparative records of Mr Hodgson and Lampard over the last 3 games!
I respectfully asserted that Frank Lampard has lost 11 of his previous 12 games as a manager !
