The PL table does not make pleasant reading at all. Should we be defeated tomorrow (God forbid) I will conclude that the chances of our survival will be somewhat slim. Sadly, Willo you are right, we do really need a win today otherwise we could be in free fall towards the bottom if the other results go against us. On a brighter note BBC Sport were reporting the following graph today which gives us some hope!

statistically, we have been the weakest team in the Premier League...and i will say i am glad Viera is gone. now, onwards and upwards.......the fightback starts today with a win against Steptoe-Vardy and all his scummy friends.

probability of relegation after that emotional victory ( the first in 3 months ( and 1 day)) down to 4% , which is the best since late November. e(p)now 43. Zaha injury is a concern.

Whilst I agree the injury is a concern, it may do us a favour in the next game (should Zaha likely be out) at least. That starting line up today, whilst ok at home is not good enough for away games. Move Schlupp to wide left and bring in Lokonga or Hughes into the midfield.

There's not much more pisses me off than being told he was good at holding the ball up (he patently wasn't he was rubbish at it) or that he was ruined by Roy and lack of crosses.
a brilliant summary. The amount of supporters who continually defended him and now bemoan the fact we finally got rid of him is unbelievable.

There's not much more pisses me off than being told he was good at holding the ball up (he patently wasn't he was rubbish at it) or that he was ruined by Roy and lack of crosses Could not agree more, he was good for one season, then someone told him he could retire and still pick his £130k/week and he did just that, he had no vision, no go and then spent most games when he got on, running around in circles keep as far away from the ball as possible. He must have been so happy when SP extended his contract paying 6.760mil/per year. Another silly SP decision.

Just to take this thread back on topic. Who is people’s 3 picks for relegation as of now? For me: Southampton - they are a shambles and their home form is autrocious.

At this stage it is looking likely that 37 points should be safe so my guess is the bottom three will be Southampton 20th 31 points

Personally I think we need 9 points - so 3 wins from 9 games - which given our run in which on paper is by far the easier than any of those below us should be “comfortably”achievable. On that basis Mateta’s last minute winner could prove a pivotal moment in our season..!! But we are Palace - so anticipating a few “twists and turns” along the way..!! COYP
