Shrewsbury season ticket holder I know said he had a brilliant game today and was 'absolutely f-ing immense'. He scored and now six wins from six since he joined. Brilliant.
"It's ok postman , he'll lick you to death" "That isn't really that comforting , I still end up dead !!" |

Described on their forum as the new KdB again. Clearly at least worth a start in the Championship next year. Guess we get him into the squad and he has to shine, but his arrival has turned a poor team into a great one. Great if he can maintain it through end of season.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

Why are we so afraid to throw in younger players? Remember when Zaha took on Derby in his first game? We got two midfielders in the January window, much needed to be fair.

I don’t like saying it about our own players but I can not wait till the day Schlupp is gone. His name on the team sheet is enough to ruin my weekend. Shocking player.

A mainstay under Hodgson too, always in the team. Arguably one of the reasons why we don't seem to progress in the midfield area. Certainly a tight pass and move game is beyond his obvious limitations.

In the last few years most of the players who went out on loan have not set the world alight and yet some were still predicting they would make the first team. Now we have Phillips and JRS getting plaudits on a regular basis so there is hope they at least will do well at a higher level. Too many of our academy have gone to L1 and L2 and then disappeared. Let's hope this is the turning point.

In his appearances for us he always looked like someone who would run himself into the ground but looked a bit lost positionally and walked the line in terms of some of his tackles. Hopefully this loan will help improve those sides of his game as he certainly has a style that appeals to those of us who like our players to bleed for the team.

His energy and tenacity, dare I say it remind me of a certain Mr. Gallagher. But he required a loan in league 1, Championship and then 2 loans in the prem before starting to realise his potential. Phillips has still got time on his side and a clear desire. Let's hope he continues to develop at the same rate but it won't happen overnight as there's a huge leap between League 1 and the prem. Really hoping it works out for him because as you say he's the kind of player that fans love.
