As someone said he has been excellent for the Irish U 21s. Still hopeful he may yet do well. Balmer although for the North looks a decent prospect.

Think we had Steve Staunton on loan for a while also if my memory serves me right , scored a few also i think . To be fair to Clinton Omorrison there wasn't really that many on the Irish team that were fully Irish , Tony Cascarino , Andy Towsnend ect . Their was prob a distant relative born in Eire somewhere down the line or a blood transfusion .

He scored a memorable one from near the half way line at the Whitehorse lane end, against Tranmere I think it was

Yes i was there that day ! think he scored a brace ( i could be wrong ) . Good footballer but my god he was as dull as ditch water .

It was Kevin Doyle, the ex Wolves striker.
The Palace website has a feature on Palace Irish players to celebrate St Patrick's Day.
In truth only a few have made a significant contribution to the club.
