Some say Schlupp had a good game - I think he ran more than before.

He managed to get the ball in space BUT seemed to lack confidence to take players on

He always looks for Wilf

He had three good chances to go it alone & take a punt - he has no confidence to
Where being on 60k a week he should have the confidence to Rob a bank with no cctv or guards & tills open - but ……….

By the way we’re the team stuff at half time, told to sit back & allow them to have space OR the spliff did the rounds ?

No, someone was missing.

Not disasterous news.
Provided, as has already been said, there are better options to start next season, assuming we stay up.
Today though, would have liked to have seen Lokonga and not Ayew when Wilf had to go off.

We're going to have to play half our games without our best player, that is quite disastrous and you also mention you'd rather see a player who is on loan and...

It was not disastrous news that the 2 signed new contracts and had nothing to do with Wilf getting injured !
And of the subs we had available today, Lokonga would have been a better choice than Ayew.
Not obvious really was it ??

I dont imagine that either of them were on sky high wages under their existing contracts either.

When jeff signed he was 'supposedly' a premiership winning and Big Sam was desperate so he managed to get £56k a week. Ayew is supposedly on c£35k a week.

I know both have signed extensions since those initial contracts but expect their salaries are similar.

Personally i think Schlupp is massively overpaid and part of the issue with our high wages. These squad type players should be on £30k to £40k a week - so Schlupp is arguably on 50% more than he should be.

I personally feel the opposite, he is to me vitally important to surviving this season.
