Indeed, at least with modern technology, providing they load the details of any new seating arrangement's properly you should be able to get a feel of what seat your buying - aisle seat, length of the row etc etc, I know some stadium websites actually do a "view from your seat" so you feel more invested in the purchase -

At least as existing season ticket holders we will have some idea of how things will be from the stadium images on the screen but there's no accounting for an newly installed, previously unlisted support pillar right in the line of sight between you & the goalmouth -

There is talk of CPFC asking the league to play the first few games of next season away because of the construction work so its doubtful we will even have the opportunity of a practice run -

Its a tad irksome given that once you commit to the seas your in it for the whole season & its a lot of money to lay out to find that your not happy -

I found this on the club site, is this the kind of thing? . . . [Link]

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Very true. And watching Palace week in week out doesn't extend life expectancy either.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

Im amazed to see that 13.
Our club website is a load of tosh in my opinion. So very hard to navigate.
Plus you can't see personal info etc. like how much credit you have etc.
I nearly missed renewing my ticket.
The money had gone but I hadn't received confirmation. I rang Palace and they told me the money takes five days to clear if I pay electronically. So I paid twice(second time by jammed phone lines, 20 minute hold time) and got it secured on the last day. Complete joke.

I do like the architectural references to the railway arches in the stand.

You do of course wonder if the residential part of the scheme will happen but not the stadium expansion!

Interesting. This has been going on for years. The ground and the surrounding area are owned by Lewisham council and ripe for development.

A former Mayor and his dodgy mates tried to push through a plan where the club lost the car park and the building company the Mayor owned built a housing estate, brown envelopes all around.

The Guardian did a good job at the time uncovering the blatant corruption. Millwall fans then let it be known they would not accept the plan and it died a death.

I guess the new plan will be acceptable as the club owners are involved and they are respected by the fans.

It will be interesting to see if the ground every gets done they can't fill a 20,000 seater stadium at the moment.

Steve Parish talking at the awards night.

“We’re really moving forward with this stadium plan, which I know has been slower than we want, but there really is progress in the back now. We’re committed to doing it and really give us all something to be proud of,” said Parish.

“We’re starting to do the preliminary work in the summer. We’re going to have to move the away changing rooms to underneath the Holmesdale (Road – stand). We’ve also got to move the offices out of the Main Stand so that we can use the current offices as a concourse.”

"Genuine question". When did the mayors of London boroughs gain executive (ie decision-making) powers, as in this story about Lewisham? I haven't lived in London for a while now, but when I did live there, the mayor of each borough was an annual ceremonial appointment involving a golden chain of office, a bit like in 'Trumpton'.

"Genuine opinion". 'Their' plans look a lot more impressive than 'our' plans

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

When I saw it those "railway arches" kind of more reminded me of the colosseum which seemed appt referencing the crowd attending to watch the gladiators (opposition) being eaten by the lions (Millwall)
