Guy has shown he has no real class in this whole saga. He has strung us as fans along and I now wonder if he had any real intention to even look at what the club has offered. But I am glad he is going. We supposedly had a policy of only offering one year contracts on reduced terms to players over 30 yet were it seems willing to offer 4 years at silly money here. At least now we know ( well we think we do,) and can spend our money elsewhere on someone younger fresher and our fiture

If he stayed and helped us push on to bigger and better things he would have earned a statue but being a good player, winding down his contract then moving on doesn't warrant it in my opinion.

The news he is leaving is less disturbing than the Daily Fail report Olise has an 'in principal' agreement with Chelsea. And what is Guehi thinking and Andersen - even Decoure?

I don't begrudge him moving on to better things, but this is a pretty pathetic way of announcing it.

A statue? - No! Grateful thanks? Of course! I hope it works out for him but I do seriously wonder. Who knows, I live in Greece. I could fly over and watch him - but I very much doubt it!!

An absolute legend of this club. Possibly the finest player we have produced. I expected him to leave and wish him all the success and trophy’s he can get. It’ll be one incredible experience for him and why not try it. I am happy he won’t play aginst us in the prem. Now we have free’d up 200k on wages and it’s the right time for both of us to move on. Now let’s look forward and plan for sheff Utd
