Phillips is an under 21 so does not have to be declared in the squad.

As are Ebiowei and Rak-Sakyi

Where are the goals going to come from?!

As much as I like Jordan Ayew, ain’t no way he’s a ten (plus) goal a season player for us. And with those two full backs…not a chance!

Barring any unexpected departures, we stick with 4-3-3 and as things stand I’d suggest first XI will look something like this:

GK: Johnstone

LB: Mitchell
CB: Guehi
CB: Andersen
RB: ??

CM: Lerma
CM: Doucoure
CAM: Eze

LW: ??
ST: ??
RW: Olise

The renewal of Clyne, Ferguson (who?) and Ward suggests there’ll be no RB incoming however I think we’ll go in for attacking players. I hope they’re first team players or we’ll see a continual rotation of possible new arrival(s), Schlupp, Ayew, Mateta and Edouard. That’s all assuming no Wilf too.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Hughes must be the most underated class player we’ve got.
Stick Ayew on LW. Was playing like a demon last ten games.
If Wilf stays an is fit we’ve then got Clyne Schluppie Edouard.
Plenty of on the cusp juniors.
If we get Edouard sorted or Neymar for Zaha at PSG ,,,,,, maybe he could buy US!!!

Unless we're selling Guehi, I doubt we'll have the money so expect Edouard to fill the gap in your team..

The first version of the coming season's 1st team squad is on the club website.

Of interest are:
1. As Eagleman 13 noted on the Zaha thread - Wilf is still listed.
2. Lerma is listed as a defender for some reason.
3. Whilst a number of the youngsters are included, the following are currently NOT listed:

- Rak-Sakyi
- Plange
- O'Brien
- Phillips

Will be interesting to see how this list develops over the coming weeks

Which three of City, United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, Newcastle, Brighton, Villa have a worse starting XI?

Let's not start on the respective quality of the next 5 players behind the first XI either.

26th January 2010 - Enter Administration
2nd May 2010 - D-Day 1 - Survival at Hillsborough
1st June 2010 - D-Day 2 - Survival at Lloyds
7th June 2010 - CPFC2010 exchange contracts.
