There appears to be no firm evidence against Letby, for either the attempted murders or murders. From the court coverage it seems to be based on interpretation of Letby's diary, staff whispers, circumstances and some skewed statistics over child deaths. None of which would lead to a conviction. From what I've read, this case probably shouldn't have proceeded after submission of 'evidence' to the CPS.
If Letby isn't convicted, then you would have to wonder about her suing for malicious prosecution, workplace bullying, defamation of character etc, etc
10 months of this for the jurors, let's hope the rest survive long enough to give a verdict.

If they can’t find one obvious bit of truth and that to be proven of this nurse doing this then what chance of multiples. I think possibly the CCQ or whomever may have been looking for a scapegoat out of a total cluster f*** within the hospital care and sadly the poor parents looking for a reason they lost the most precious thing ever. I want to believe they will prove her to be guilty if she is but it’s gone on too long now. I’m not even sure how she was meant to have killed these babies.

How can you find someone guilty beyond reasonable doubt when you are the people who (the jury) have the doubt yourselves.

I presume you should use a couple of test/example cases where there is some real evidence.

Probably not as I’m sure it would have leaked out.

That should get this one across the line now.

That's exactly the problem, they 'want it over'.

At least one juror not on board, and one retired.

It'll be a war of attrition in the Jury Room. It's been a few days now, and people tend to become entrenched. A Guilty majority verdict will be going straight to Appeal.

Back in the old days of this forum 9 or 10 blokes would have commented "would" by now. I applaud you all for progressing away from the misogyny that used to be rife on this site.
