great goal, his trick to leave the last man and change to his left foot to nutmeg the keeper was sensational, but the defenders let him go and big up to Doucoure for winning the ball and giving it straight to the 'player'.

Eze is already by far the best English player, miles ahead of anybody else, most gifted player since Gascoinge, but he has a fantastic temperament as well, World class.

Really hope he has an injury free season and gets chances to shine with England. I can see him gaining a lot of fans from other clubs if he can do it for England

Barring any injuries and if his form continues, I think this will be Eze's last season at Palace. He will be off to a top 4 club for CL football. We can be grateful that we had him at the club for this time. We can't always hang on to such gifted players like we did with Zaha.

Eze did more tackling back against Sevilla than I've ever seen him do before... not sure if he was fired up because of the treatment he received from the Sevilla players but he was certainly getting stuck in.... he's definitely getting more rounded as a player than from when he joined Originally posted by palace99
have to also agree. Andersen was bought for the 'now' as we needed some experience at the back. He has done well, but has shown his limitations too - very slow, being his main flaw. Eze is just so key to Palace now it's ridiculous. Clearly the Lerma purchase was mainly to ensure Eze has even more licence to attack and ignore his defensive responsibilities. Playing Schlupp and Ayew on the wings today means all our attacking flair is now purely down to Eze. If he decides not to sign a new contract, as is his choice, then unfortunately we would need to sell him next summer. As transfer fees have shown this summer even with 1 year left on contracts, the transfer fees have still been quite high

I just wonder what effect the Olise ‘saga’ will have on him if he leaves?! Most CPFC videos last season were about the ‘banta’ between him and Olise playing chess, table tennis etc. Potentially losing his best pal would have some kind of impact on his future thoughts.
