20,000+ Palestinians killed, and everyone stays silent. The three lads that were killed are British passport holders and as such the UK government has a duty to comment on them. The 20000 + Palestinians presumably do not hold the same legal status; therefore the difference. If they comment on every death in the world it would no longer be ‘supporting’ British nationals….maybe in the future when we have a one world government the situation will be different…
hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing. |

Oh, more deaths, how sad. However, focus on 3 people who could have been your mates, then the story shifts to the war taking 3 of our own. If it raises interest and, thus, political pressure, who cares how that is achieved.

Here's (maybe) some news. The UK might stop selling Israel arms, if things get worse. The prime minister says the UK has a "very careful" arms licensing regime."

If it does the regs will be ambiguous/bendable. If they are strong, sales will continue via intermediaries and the authorities will turn a blind eye. We are not going to properly and effectively ban sales to a friend. This is not Iran.

They do buy some parts from the UK - not sure if they buy any particular full systems anymore. The current situation is that they would just source the same parts from India - and most of the parts will be for US systems and weapons. Whilst the US supplies Israel, it is just token gesturing for anyone else to stop.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Aid workers are often aware of the risks involved in their work, including exposure to conflict, disease, natural disasters, and other hazards. Despite the dangers, many are motivated by a desire to help those in need and make a positive impact in challenging environments.

Hamas has brilliantly manipulated the world's perceptions by framing their actions as responses to oppression or injustice, exploiting media to showcase their grievances. They use propaganda to twist narratives, highlight civilian casualties caused by countermeasures, and portray themselves as defenders of a marginalized group or cause. Social media, sympathetic coverage, and strategic messaging can amplify their victimhood narrative, swaying public opinion. Lots of people have fallen for it .They have forgotten about the disgusting massacre of innocent people and the taking of hostages. Remember, who started this war it was Hamas when they invaded Israel. They knew very well that Israel was going to respond strongly but nobody expected them to retaliate as they did. If you are an Empath you are more susceptible to manipulation due to your heightened sensitivity to others' emotions. You might empathize deeply with manipulating terrorist group like Hamas making it harder for you to recognize deceitful tactics.

It never fails to amaze me how fast goalposts can move - if you go back 12 months and imagine a British military ally bombing and killing 3 British aid workers in branded aid trucks in a de-conflicted area… there would be outrage both within the public and politicians. Now we get a few stern words from the politicians and members of the public who go on as if this is a par for the course accident. And they accuse others of being victims of propaganda.

The UK is selling arms to Israel. The UK sells arms to Saudi Arabia, sold them to South Africa (at the height of apartheid). The only reason we don't sell to big country's, is that they tend to have their own arms industries.
