We need a short term solution right now to ensure survival in my opinion.
Whatever that solution is does not bother me.
We have done it before so we can do it again.

Well done Steve! News now coming through that he is finally pulling the trigger on the Hodgesaurus in the morning.

I dont think its news but rather a good guess seeing as there has been no public support of the manager from above since Saturday's shambles

Not sure I believe this - how would that conversation go. Roy we want to sack you but the guy that we want doesn’t actually want it. Carry on as you are please Roy.. Roy’s a stubborn old goat but surely he’d tell them to do one

Why would Cooper take the job now, mid season with key players out long term injured. When Vieira was sacked it was a different scenario, he wasn’t playing his best team, they were all fit, just not organised.

Big bonuses paid for our staying up.
Sounds potentially attractive to Big Sam,or perhaps try combination of Freedman and Jedinack in short term.

Cloud cuckoo land stuff.

Big Sam is past it now, and the idea that any number of former players are suddenly going to rescue us is ridiculous.

Unless there is a clearly better option than what we have, then I say we should carry on with Hodgson.

It should be remembered that we have actually won two of our last four games. The difference in our performances came down to having star players available and the calibre of opposition.

Brentford and Sheffield were games we should win. Arsenal and Brighton, like it or not, were not.

It's clear that our injury problems have been the route of our poor performance this season. Had we had a full squad available, we would have more points and there would be no frenzy about sacking the manager. That is a fact.

As it is. There is no certainty that any change in management will improve results.

So in other words keep on doing what we are doing and get the same results, without any change.
See you in the Championship next season!!

Roy is not alone in getting it in the neck from supporters. Poch, Ten Haag, Chris Wilder to name but a few are getting loads of criticism from their respective clubs supporters. Myself personally, I would not do it in public, but my god Roy is testing everyone’s patience at the moment.

I agree he is and it’s his stubbornness that’s at the root of it and seemingly no plan B which, can also be said about the owners. We are Disjointed all over rather than Glad all over at present!

Bring back Brolin

Why WOULDN't he? Or anyone thats offered it now come to that? All this talk about managers not wanting to come in mid season is rubbish. If you are available but start dithering you'll run the risk of the owners moving on to someone else. Or a better candidate being available in the summer.
I dont believe for a single minute that Cooper has been approached. If he had been I believe he'd be holding talks and then take it.
It seems fans on here have a very low opinion of the attraction of the managers job at Palace. We are a Premiership club. We are in London. We have some good players. The manager's salary is very competitive. Right now we are not in any serious danger of relegation. Its the next round of fixtures that will decide that.
I'd say Palace for reasons mentioned is probably in the top 15 most desirable jobs in England.
I can understand if a manager is contracted elsewhere until the summer. Or (like we're hearing with Potter) he is expecting/hoping for a bigger job offer but Cooper? For a start I dont rate him anyway but if he was offered it, even right now with the current injuries I think he'd jump at it.
Hopefully there is no truth in it.
