how many million quid will it cost for his long incarceration ? especially if he is sent to a medical-psychiatric facility. I expect the pain & suffering he will experience will be but a shadow of what he has inflicted upon his victims.

Disfigurement, blinding, maiming, psychological trauma, loss of earnings & a normal life...etc.

I know what you are thinking, but possibly not. He will have his psych assessments, of course. He will also plead not guilty and fight the case to the end.

However, the fact that he knew her makes this very different from the nutter who killed 3 random people in the genuine belief that he was protecting himself. Absent this defence, this is more likely to be a pre-mediated act and a full life sentence at the end of it, with no mitigation such as a NG plead.

This is a bloke who chucked a harmful substance on little girls with the intent to hurt them. The open prison population will share your view and no special measures will protect him from daily assault and likely rape.

PS just seen - he is a convicted s e x offender who travelled hundreds of miles to do this.

He will get what he deserves.
