The guy on loan at Burnley. He's lively and a bit of a handful might he be a realistic target if the predicted Chelsea fire sale happens. Wouldn't like to predict price but probably £20m because he's a striker. Only 21.
Or is he in reality no better than JP. I'm thinking he's done quite well in a rubbish Burnley side.

I have long argued that we don't need a 30 goal a season striker but 2 players who score 10-15 goals a season.

JPM is now one of those. Of course I would like him to score more but his all round game is now excellent I think he cost us 11m which is about right for his contribution.

We need to find another player like that that to replace Eddie, who doesn't score enough and his work rate and hold up play is not good enough.

It all comes down to cost, Chelsea don't sell on the cheap so I suspect that whilst Fofana would be a good addition to the squad would he be good value for money?

Olise has got 6 in 9 and Eze also has 6. Seeing as they’ll more than likely be the two that play behind the striker behind Mateta in Glasner’s new system then we have 3 players that realistically could get 10-15 goals in a full season!

I must admit, apart from his goal yesterday, I havent seen much els3 of him. (But wen Palace are playing bad, I tend to avoid football).

The only thing I'd say is that at present JPM's hold up play is really important to us. When he goes off we are definitely weaker.

I think we need to make sure that any forward signings can play that role.

In this system for the whole season with ebs and olise fit we'd have 3 players on 10 plus goals,

Yup that is my point. We pretty need another JPM then they can fight it out as to who should start.

I read somewhere that OG likes a big hard working striker so maybe we will.

We just need someone who given a chance or even a sniff of a chance can put the ball in the net, JPM could’ve had that game sewn up on his own Saturday and walked away with the match ball, then Luton’s late goal wouldn’t have mattered. I don’t mean that to sound like a dig at him really because his goal was a great little finish and defenders certainly know he’s around, but a lots said about the late goals we concede, well a lot of those late goals either wouldn’t happen or wouldn’t matter if we just had someone to put the ball in the net given the chance so we could finish teams off

JPM is probably a 20m+ player now, with the price of transfers, i don't see us ever getting a proven premier league striker, you are talking 40/50m plus 200k a week salary, i am more worried about losing Mateta, Does Glasner know a Hans Krankl clone?

he cost Chelsea about £7m and has barely kicked a ball since. Can't see Chelsea making a 200% profit on him

He wasn’t particularly impressive against us... anyway Mateta has improved 100% and was unfortunate not to get a second on Saturday... think he’s beginning to get in a groove which you always need as a striker...
