5 points from 5 games, 6 goals scored and 6 conceded (no clean sheets) against modest opposition show Glasner’s ‘kick and rush’ tactics are not working. Playing 7 back has pushed Eze out wide where he is less effective. Yes, we have an injury crisis, but the next 8 games are much tougher than the last 5 - wouldn’t be a surprise if we get no more points this season.

kept a clean sheet against Burnley. We've conceded 6 in the 5 he's been in charge and scored 6.

I've not really taken to him but I suppose gotta give him time especially as he took over earlier than expected and got 3 of our 4 best players out. I just expected us to have a bit more oomph under him.

I have been in conversation with a couple of 'Long sufferers' and they are not convinced about Glasner and believe his stay will be ephemeral.
I reminded them that he has only been in situ for 5 games and has to work with an injury-hit squad short of depth.

As an ever optimistic supporter, I am not sure we shall be sure of staying up. When we have the ball in opposition area it all goes so slow, like we have no plan. And Eze yesterday provided more back passes than the opposite direction. With Man City coming up together with the red of Manchester, Liverpool and Aston Villa unsure where we will pick four-five points to be safe.

That's a very interesting and somewhat 'hope-inspiring' post DC! Ta.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

If we are going to win some of our last 6 games, Eze and Olise are obviously key, the problem is how to fit them into Glasners formation, i understand he has his ideology, and if we stay up a lot of Squad changes are needed to fit in with his system, But, surely he has to be a bit flexible for the last six games:

Mateta
Ayew Eze Olise
Wharton Lerma
Mitchell Andersen Ward Clyne
Hendersen

This has to be the best way of getting the best out of what we have to get points, its a bit Vieira at the moment Square pegs, i think Glasner, long term we be great for the club, i hope he gets the chance to prove that next season in the Premiership with the players to fit his ideology.

Thomas Frank ever had the best of starts as Brentford manager after replacing Dean Smith, losing 8 of his first 10 games in charge.

I think we are starting to see why Glasner wanted to wait until the summer to take the job.

Trying to implement a new playing style with somebody else's players late in the season is far from ideal.
