That is not the point Both the FA and The British Olympic Committee represent our nation and have used the flag as a giant PR exercise since they were founded. They make no bones that they are representing the nation, I doubt an artist unless they are Lilly Allen claims to speak for the country. The flags have been used in countless wars that our men and women have shed blood for so yes some people might be a little sensitive. As I said previously it is not up to the likes of these organisations to unilaterally change our national symbols. If people don't like it start a campaign engage with Parliament and the public but don't do it in a sneaky fashion and then get offended that the public are offended. Why would someone be unbothered in 2012 but molten with rage now? My reaction to both has been exactly the same, so I am asking someone who has had a different reaction this time round to explain why. I'm not sure why that would be controversial.
