Eze was very poor today ... no getting around that ... and I am surprised he wasn't taken off earlier. Scintillating first half with a terrific display from Henderson. We didn't resume the second half with the same energy and commitment and took half an hour to get going again. No points but we got going again late on and could have easily narrowed the score even more.

Wilf was pampered in every game he played, and rightly so, he was the best player, you cannot treat all players the same, like it or not, Glasner, who i think is a very good manager, but he is a systems man, he pick players out of position to fit his system, not the system which is best for the players, if he had taken over at the end of the season it would have been ideal, but now i think it is oil and water.

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

Similar sentiments were articulated in respect of Frank De Boer.

I don't think there's been what I would classify as a bad performance under Glasner.
Sadly at the moment it's not yielding points.
By all accounts Luton should have been 4 down by half time today, yet still managed to win the game.
It's a cliche, but I'd take an awful performance if it gets us 3 points.
You don't want to be known in the future as being thought of as too good to go down, but did.....

Even though we lost and were completely outplayed there are positives to build on, presuming we can stay up. JPM is now deserving of his place and showed skill, strength and endurance today, probably still can build his fitness. Our weaknesses are all too obvious and hard to rectify with all the injuries and limitations of some key players. Difficult to see how we can spare ourselves from getting thumped next weekend and what will that do for the confidence in the dressing room and on the pitch. Olise seemed to galvanize the team when he came on and that is huge versus Eze, who was terrible and despite all his flash, cannot provide consistent rhythm. I would make Eze an impact sub for now, rather than a starter and sell him in the summer - I am sure he will do better in a different set-up.

Geuhi and Richards coming back will make a huge difference to defensive solidity. Good to see Edouard coming back and scoring well. Another 4 points in reamaining matches and we should be ok

Wharton was good but his passing in critical attacking situations needs to improve.

It was a decent performance today against a world class team. I don’t subscribe to the view that our squad is poor especially when you consider we were without Doucoure and Guehi. Ward is having an Indian summer on the right side of a defensive three, and Lerma is capable at centre back. He and Anderson are able to step out of defence when we are in possession. With Guehi and Doucoure back in the squad we have options to play Doucoure and Lerma as holding midfielders and push Wharton further forward with Olise or Eze or have Wharton alongside Doucoure and play both Olise and Eze.
The fact that people are considering selling Eze if he doesn’t fit shows how far we have come as a squad from the days of “give it to Wilf”. Personally I think there is still time to improve Eze’s play. As the pundits were saying today, keep it simple in your own half son and save the dribbling for further upfield!

Bit of a shout out for Henderson, like many others I’ve been a critic of his, but an absolutely superb save low down to his left right in front of us up the Whitehorse today. We sit right down the line of it and it was heading for the corner. There was a gasp of amazement from everyone around us as he appeared from no-where and got across to it.

Yes agree with you there , dont know whats happened to him , he is starting to look like a 20 mill keeper . Someone must be working with him on his game , dont know how he got down so quick to save that shot it was a dead cert goal , i dont think he would have saved it on his last spell in goal.

COYP!

It was Luton's first win in 12 games. I watched the whole game and Bournemouth were ripping them apart before taking Tavernier and Kluivert off
