Watching the highlights on MOTD Andersen seemed to have a shocker. His header for the second goal was poor, sending it back into the danger zone. Got skinned for another. His only saving grace was a fortuitous block when he was lying down prostrate on the floor. Perhaps he wants out at the end of the season ? I suspect we will need to sell a couple of players and he might be one. Also the highlights showed Ayew's lack of composure with his effort, although he wasn't far off. Let's hope this doesn't get worse over the remainder of the season. Still very much in our hands. COYP !!

My criticisms of Andersen as a defender have been well documented on HOL.

He is accomplished with the ball at his feet but in terms of defending he is found wanting. Not the most mobile or fleet-footed can be exposed on the turn and can be bullied in a 1 v 1 situation with a physical attacker.

Maybe we should sell Andersen, Guehi, Doucore, Eze and Olise for about 250/300m and give half to Glasner and the other half for the Stand.

That may well happen unless we can find another 3/4 points but alas it will be in the championship when we will have to let all our good players go and we will then be left with those nobody wants. SP, can then build his half empty new empty stadium as we slide down the championship!

Watching the highlights back ,for De Bruyne's second goal Ayew just lets him go and stands there watching rather than tracking the run.

I'm so Palace I don't even know it

Under another manager we get slaughtered, under yet another manager we win. What was the point of that comment? We have who we have.

Yes we do. History has indeed been twisted. Man City would have won all these titles and trophies on our budget. In the same way that Pep could win the league with our current team. What planet are you on. The point I made was not about money it was about heritage. Money can’t buy that. It needs time.

He keeps playing the same players because that’s all we’ve got. We don’t have £500 million plus worth of players sitting on the bench.

The something else that is wrong is that our players are knackered by the 2nd half. Past regime didn’t put enough emphasis on fitness. City move teams side to side all day long. It takes a huge amount of effort and energy to try and stop that. Better teams than Palace have failed to do it.

Excellent comment, agreed. Still annoying though

Getting back to the game, i cant believe that more has not been said about the stonewall penalty when Gvardiol clearly was holding Eze, then pushed him to the ground,

Yup, funny how he was subbed at HT, Munoz was roasting him. Stuart Attwell was VAR & it was him who dismissed it not even allowing Tierny to go to the screen. Funny how mood didn't even mention/show it.

That’s true actually, I forgot about it myself until I got home and saw the highlights, even from the Whitehorse it looked stonewall…..I should imagine if it was the other way round a lot more would’ve been made of it

I messaged into the BBC to state my dismay at the lack of commentary around it. They didn’t publish it surprisingly.

I didn’t think much at the time but you can guarantee if the shirts were swapped it would have been given.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Eze might well be better as a number 10 than a wide player, though Hodgson had him on the left cutting inside in his first spell, but the problem is more one of attitude to me - typical Eze moment on Saturday - he received the ball out wide and his first touch put it between two oncoming City players and he slinked in between them , lovely, then instead of releasing the ball with a simple pass to press the advantage his bit of skill goes straight to his ego and he tries to dribble past another player, runs into a dead end and gives the ball away - it's plain immaturity. Roy had a way of dealing with him, but Vieira clearly found it as frustrating as the rest of us and Glasner might feel the same way - he deserved to be subbed on Saturday. He's great with Olise but can't be relied on like Wilf could be - if we can get £50mil from all the muppets calling him world class then take it I'd say, unless he plays with more responsibility, which he does do at times, but not often enough.
