England unchanged which I guess isn't overly surprising - Foden and Trent need to make an impact today. Expecting another cagey game - main incentive for us is not to lose, and Southgate doesn't need a 2nd invitation to play safe. Cheers lads.

The singular wirst performance I’ve seen since Hodgson’s Iceland. Pathetic and abysmal. We need an actual football manager
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

The weakest link in the England football set up is Gareth Southgate and by extension the FA.

The thing is that Southgate being decidedly below average as a manager put in charge of players capable to winning tournaments has been obvious for years.....but he's the PC choice by the type of people who rule today's game.

Despite their experience and skill, the fear of defeat is greater than their desire to win. For phuck sake run at the opponents not run it back across your defensive line. And what was Pickford doing coming to the half way line to take a free kick only to pass it 5 yards to Walker to kick it out of play?!
hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing. |

I really don't think it is - this is a group of players who between them have won everything at club level. Mentally they're as good as it gets. The tactics are a mess and if anyone should be able to recognise it, it's Palace fans because it's exactly how Hodgson set us up. It's too deep. There's no willingness to press the opposition in their half, and with Kane sitting in midfield there's no out ball so we're camped in our half with nowhere to go. Pray the ball drops to Bellingham (Eze) or Foden (Olise) and they do something out of nothing in a system that isn't suited to getting them into good positions. Note: I've never been a Southgate out. I’m not sure about that myself to be honest, it’s just so hard to fathom how poor these players who are excellent for their clubs can be so poor for England, but then I’ve been wondering that for 50 years really And you’re spot on about Roy’s palace, the resemblance is frightening really

As I said the other day after that rubbish, I said then that I don't think we would win the Euros. I haven't changed my mind.

Did anyone stick around to hear Kyle Walker's post-match interview? Please may I have some of the delusional drugs he must surely be taking?
