I have been pessimistic about our chances of staying up since the loss to Swansea but after Saturday's game I am more confident of us staying up. I thought Schlupp showed excellent promise and Remy has a bit of quality about him, with more games under their belt they will be real assets with Zaha hopefully being available for the Bournemouth game aswell, I also quite liked the 3-5-3 formation, it should make us more solid at the back and with Benteke and Remy as strikers and with real pace down both flanks (we need to get shot of Townsend, all he is good for is a 10 minute cameo roll when the opposition tire) and big Sam having another week to work on them in training. Starting with a Morocco victory tonight I think the Bournemouth game will be the turning point in our season. If we can nick a win there with all of the above and some confidence we can go on and put a run together!

Where would Zaha fit into that, because wing-back he ain't?

Unless he is talking about a 3-4-3, which then Zaha can be right forward/winger.

Good to have some positivity and with the imminent signing of Patrick Van Anholt, sure we will stay up.

Was it a good performance? All i saw was one team attacking and the other teams keeper keeping them in it. I agree about Schlupp though, if we get PVA i would go to 4-5-1 when Wilf comes back and at least we would have two wingers who will cover their full backs. I would play Remy at no 10. Punch couldnt score in a brothel these days

PVA and schlupp will be massive signings to balance the side, just having a left back will allow ward back to right back and zaha on the right , schlupp on the left will be deadly. Also remy when he gets full fitness will be huge for us. There's plenty to be optimistic about, I've got a feeling we're gona get a win vs Bournemouth and Start a run!

Yes, I'm really optimistic. The squad is coming together - just do whatever it takes to get a Left Back and we are laughing with Wilf on his way back tonight hopefully.

Come on Morocco!

First match 5th October 1974 - not a good day!

It wasn't a exciting performance from the team. However, in my opinion to play Everton, and only concede one (bear in mind man city were thumped 4-0 only the week before) is a good performance defensively. Once we have our defence up and running again just like it used to be (whether we sign players or Sam's managerial influence kicks the players into gear), we can then work on our attacking part of the game (it shouldn't need much work as we have scored plenty compared to other seasons). This will take time, which is against us at the moment, but our defence is starting to show signs of life again, which is a positive.

Btw I agree with your suggestion about playing Remy behind the striker, it could be the attacking boost we need.

Injuries will define what happens. Hope SA has a bit of luck. We may sign 1/2 for the 1st team but our squad clearly won't be loads deeper when the window closes and the difference between some of our 1st team and squad players is huge.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.
