Did you see Benteke say "It wasn't on purpose" to the ref at the end there? Lol.

I guess he meant the yellow?

Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot.

Great win.
Three more points against Burnley and we are safe almost certainly.
We have to keep our best players and move forward now. No more scrimping.
And for FFS get the planning permissions sorted out.

Great result but now Tomkins is a worry due to a totally cynical challenge. At first I thought it was only a yellow but after seeing the result there should be some retrospective punishment for a deliberate attempt to injure. Even Beglin said the scouse challenges were over the top. Plus they gained more stoppage time. Kudos to all the lads for standing up ad getting three very valuable points. Big Sam has them believing in themselves and ignoring reputations. For all you Campbell haters, he did a very good job helping to kill of the game.

Absolutely elated with that. Such a massive 3 points, takes massive pressure off.

3 in a row at Anfield, unbeaten on Merseyside since Holloway took us to Anfield in our first year up.

The transformation is incredible. Under AP you just knew we'd concede in the last 10.

WOW

Fantastic, I bloody enjoyed that, cheers lads. The sheer f***ing determination. Gobsmacked.

Spot on. Self-belief all over the pitch. Proud and well on the way to being pissed already.

If we can keep this team together and add one or two where we are vulnerable when injuries/suspensions/loss of form occur we really have a chance of top half, maybe more. Townsend Benteke and Wilf can equal most teams, Puncheon has risen to the captaincy and the defence looks impregnable (except to the unstoppable).
Sam should be allowed to build a team to achieve what would be his life time ambition; that a bloke from
Lancashire can be measured against blokes from Milan, Barcelona and Buenos Aries.

Their challenges in the last few minutes were out of order and that tackle would have been red in their half of the field if it had been attack!
