So that means then anything you post is "true",and anyone else's is pure fabrication....now that's what I call democracy

But the only counter argument against the link has been links to things regurgitating what my original link was responding to.

Yeah ok,but what makes yours the truth and others not.
Because it's a left wing link you think it's correct.

Because it puts the events in the wider context giving more detail rather than taking quotes out of true context to make an opinion piece into a hatchet job.

Ok, I will bite. Did McDonnell say this? Yes or no? What context makes it acceptable?

In 2003, at a gathering in London to commemorate the IRA hunger striker Bobby Sands, he said IRA terrorists should be “honoured”:

“It's about time we started honouring those people involved in the armed struggle. It was the bombs and bullets and sacrifice made by the likes of Bobby Sands that brought Britain to the negotiating table. The peace we have now is due to the action of the IRA.

I can't be arsed trawling though the plethora of reports from all sides of the media that you will dismiss as context.

Or in other words it's trying to justify what he said.

Of course the author of that piece is neutral in his views....you can fit most things into the context that suits either side you want to.

In stead of dismissing the sources, feel free to to counter any of the facts as stated

if it was not for the center and left wing of the labour party there would never had been any form of peace process for years they were in negotiations with the i.r.a which was what lead to the peace process, the fact that the same very misleading story is more than one publication shows a massive bias ,

Erm....sorry I thought John Major was instrumental in the start of the process.

Blair talked to the IRA the conservatives would not until they ceased violence.

Fundamental to the IRA was that the conservatives are the conservative and unionist party.

Just be glad its over.

Do you think we would have had the Anglo Irish agreement were it not for the troubles before?

Not justify what he said but counter the bulls*** and half truths that you seem happy to continue perpetuating.
