I watched the game on Saturday & thought Sunderland looked totally relaxed and they enjoyed the game. Surely they would want to do the same in front of their home fans.
Can they beat Swansea, which would mean we are safe?

If you've supported Palace for more than 5 years then the answer to all questions right now has to be "anything can happen".

It's why I've stuck a tenner on Lord Lucan to score the goal to keep us up.

They surely can, but it's pure self delusion to believe that they will. We have to avoid losing to Hull on Sunday and that is all there is to it. Relying on other teams to bail us out might well work, but we shouldn't be relying on it.

I streamed the game last weekend and if they play like they did they can beat them. Although I think if Swansea score before the 70th minute, as in a 1 0 or 2 0, then they won't do, if it is 0 0 or 1 1 etc before then, Swansea will pile everyone forward, just like Hull did, meaning Sunderland can counter attack and When you have Defoe they are bound to get a goal

We were under massive pressure to beat Sunderland and look what happened. Swansea kept Everton very quiet on Saturday but they played side to side with no real urgency and Lukaku was terrible. Defoe on the other hand is probably looking for a new club and will get at them.

Swansea will probably win, but Sunderland will be up for it as their last 2 games are Arsenal and Chelsea, both away.

If Sunderland fancy it then yes they can get something, if they don't Swansea will easily win. We definitely can't rely on them, keep the focus on beating Hull and if we get lucky then great.

The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years

This site is full of people like you. I bet you were one of many who were adamant that Hull would beat Sunderland easily!!!! Look how that turned out!!! and also were we not supposed to lose to Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool??? What will be, will be. I would still rather be in our position than theirs. One slip up by Swansea or Hull and it is a straight shoot-out between both of them for the final place

People like me.. do elaborate as I have all day

Didn't ever comment with a prediction in the hull v Sunderland game. Wouldn't have liked to call it personally. Always thought we would beat Liverpool . Don't get it right every week no one does otherwise I would be making a tidy little income backing the outcomes of the premier league and therefore laying on yatch sipping champagne somewhere exotic rather than looking out of window in grey sidcup whilst posting here

Swansea will be s***ting bricks. This is a moment they can really really help themselves. With that comes oppressive pressure. Every chance they choke.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.
